This was fun to build, though the way the pieces are separated in the bags doesn't make sense. The instruction booklet is excellent. The man was already built which I'd wish it wasn't since there are instructions to build it. The final result is awesome! My son and husband love the car! I'd say a 5 year old can assemble this with the help of an adult. It seems like a toy for a 7+. Overall I'd definitely recommend it. High quality. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

I chose this for my 5 year old son who loved building things. The directions were pretty easy to follow and I liked the fact that the appropriate piece was highlighted a different color in the directions. I wish the bags of pieces were labeled by number or letter for each section of the directions. We had to open every bag and find the appropriate pieces from one big pile. The bags were tough to open and some pieces were really small and a little hard to attach even for an adult. All told, this is a great product. My son was able to build this on his own with some adult oversight and took him about 45-60 minutes to complete. He loved the finished product which he was able to play with. We loved the Muscle Bound car! My 8 year old needed a little guidance to put it together the pieces click in place a little harder then some other brands of blocks, but these stay in place as he is playing hard with the finished product car, unlike other brands that lose pieces. My son loves everything Lego and Hot Wheels and this product is a perfect combination of the two! The pieces look and function very similarly to Lego and he loved building this car. The directions were easy for him to follow and build the car. The figurine included is of good quality, as well. He loves that he can drive it fast. Overall, I think it's a good toy, but there are some things to consider. My 5 yr old followed the directions alright, but he did have trouble fitting some pieces together. And he is an avid builder with building blocks. The directions were color coded to show where the pieces would go, I found that nice and they were easy to follow. The driver figure that it came with had full motion of its limbs, and the head can pop off. The helmet & head are one piece, not separate. I did find it odd that no extra pieces came with the build, so if you lose a piece, (which a lot of children do) then the build may not work. My 5yo grandson was excited to try this one out. He quickly became frustrated with the directions. I think maybe the suggested age should be 7+. I had him take a break and try again, it was a no go. This is a very pretty and cool toy! I wish there was a seat for the driver and so did my son. I do think the age range for this product also needs to go up because I don't think there's anyway my son could have built that by himself. Some parts were honestly even hard for me to get on. I had to switch some blocks to fit because it was like there were a few that were slightly larger on the connecting circles.
