I received this item about a week ago and this Meow set is Fantastic. My four year old absolutely loved it. My husband helped him built it and he couldn't wait to add it to his Toy collection. Thank you for this product I would highly recommend for any Pokémon fan. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
My 7 year old absolutely loves Pokémon right now and also loves legos/building type activities so this is perfect for him! He has happily worked on this for hours. He has needed adult help for this so it is rather challenging for a 7 year old but he still enjoys it. Once it is completed it becomes a different kind of play, he loves making it move and come to life with his imagination. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
This toy is the perfect rainy day project, toy to bring along to do at the Grandparents house, or just to do any day of the week! Our son really enjoyed putting the toy together and now has it on display in his room! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
This was fun and challenging for my 8 year old son to build. There are a lot of pretty small pieces, and they are all the same color for the most part. That made it a bit more challenging to look for the right pieces. However, it looks great when it's done, and it stays together well for play after. My seven year old is a both a building block master and Pokémon afficiando; he loved putting this Meowth together! The finished figure stands 6-7 inches and looks great on a shelf. Set is good quality and a great representation of a fun character. Would recommend! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
My 9 year old loves this creature. He had no trouble building it by his self. The only issues is that the blocks don't snap together tight enough. He would great frustrated when he would do a step and everything broke. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
Our house loves any sort of building sets. My 7 year old in particular. He was so excited over that character. Unfortunately when it came to Building, he wasn't able to put many pieces together. It took a lot of force. Occasionally too, the pieces were loose fitting and had to be held in place until they were attached by another piece later. The finished design though was cute [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
I received this product for free to review. My husband assisted my 7 yo in building it. Here are his thoughts: Instructions are confusing. Red and blue indicators for where pieces go are nice, but arrows telling when to flip or rotate the pieces are absent. Overall fit of the bricks was awful. The first pieces we built fell apart until step 5 held them in place. Other times, and often throughout the process, I had to help our 7-year-old son snap bricks into place because they were too tight. This caused a LOT of frustration and a fair amount of actual pain. Luckily the end result is a character he likes. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
We received this item and shipping was very fast, which was great. My son is 8 and very much into legos or building blocks like these and can put things together by himself. This product was not age friendly. It would be better for older kids, maybe 11 and up? Some parts of the instructions were confusing for myself and my son and it was hard to keep the pieces connected while putting it together. There are many pieces so make sure you have a big flat space to avoid losing any. It took about an hour to fully assemble this toy and it is not that large. My son started once and then couldn't figure it out and my husband had to step in to help and he was just as frustrated. Once the toy was assembled, though, it was very cute. Smaller than we would have hoped for all the pieces and time it took, but overall, very sturdy. The pieces seem secure now and don't seem to fall off easily like some other building toys, I think this is an OK product for older kids, but an 8 year old may not be able to do it themselves with the directions and many pieces provide. My 9 yr old daughter was so excited to get this. She quickly opened the box and looked at the directions. They looked easy enough to follow. There were 5 different groups of bags but they were not labeled as to what was in them. So she emptied them out into separate plates so she could find the right pieces. The pieces were very very difficult to snap together and even more difficult to take apart if she made a mistake. There were a few that fit right into place but many times she had to ask for help and they were hard for me to do. After an hour of trying to figure out how to put it together. She gave up only to come back numerous times to finish it. She was motivated enough to do it but it was not fun for her. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
