Always love this brand for all my car cleaning needs. This seemed to work great on a few minor light scratches, just remember when applying a little goes a long way. I used a good soft car cloth to apply and then to buff it out with a little elbow grease. Make sure to clean it all off throughly it almost looks like you just waxed after you clean it. Would buy again! Good product!

I was very skeptical about this product. I’m glad it delivered fast. I followed instructions which was not much. Got a good cloth pour some on it and rub away. I put some cream on my scratches to so sit while I wipe off other scratches. Wow kept wiping and scratches disappeared! Did not ruin color. Love it!

Really Works Well

Bob February 22, 2026

I've used this product a long time ago and thought I would try it after we purchased a new (used) vehicle that had scuffs on the gloss black mirror caps. It worked perfectly and I was able to get the scuff out a minimal effort leaving the gloss black finish like new

Meguiars Scratch Remover

anonymous May 20, 2026

Meguiar's scratch remover is one of the best. This takes care of all my minor scratches. Especially around the door handles and the hood. This is my go to for scratches.

It Works!

kathy July 10, 2024

I read the reviews on several scratch removal products, including this brand. I received it and went to work. My husband's decorative fish mailbox and I had a run in and there was paint and a big scratch down the side of my car. I did like the instructions said and had to put in some good elbow grease but all the mailbox paint came off and the big scratch is gone too! I was going to take it to a detailer and glad I didn't because it would have cost me much more than this awesome product! I'm very happy indeed with the results and the price.

great

DAREL September 3, 2013

I used it to bring back the paint on a 1954 ford that had the original paint and was heavily water spotted that wax would not remove. It not only removed the water marks and some scratches but brought out the deep shine it must have had from new.I did not wax it yet and I will but I do not see how it could look any better after a wax job.I used a 8" electric high speed buffer at the low speed moving back and forth being careful not to burn the paint and changed the cloth buffing pads as soon as they were full of the dark blue paint. I tried color sanding 1 fender before I used this and spent 9 hours and a lot of buffing and compounding polishing and waxing and it didn't do as good as this in did in 1/4th the time and was a lot easier.

MUST Read!!!!!

Oneway June 30, 2019

Anyone who does not hey good results most follow some other steps!!! 1. spray soapy water on scratch and wipe once with microfiber towel. IF scratch goes away until dry then scratch exists only in the clear coat and can be repaired with this product ONLY AFTER using another method first. 1. If you cannot get feel scratch when running fingernail over scratch then use 5000 sand paper by 3M. - spray area with soapy water and clean - spray area with soapy water again and also on sand paper - sand up and down across the length of scratch with medium pressure. then wipe and recheck scratch after area dries in a few seconds. If scratch is gone now go to next step. 2. Now that scratch is gone sand again with circular motion one direction and then the next, this time a little larger area to create a blend. lighter towards the outside area. justa few swirls will do. Wipe dry 3.. spray soapy water again and wipe dry one more time using a new spot on microfiber towel. *** NOW you are ready to use Scratch X Polish as the area you saved will look dull but clear coat is still there at there are about three coats. 5. Polish until you see reflection. Done! Almost! 6. Use a Polish wax ontop of Polish to further enhance and protect clear coat. NOTE: IF you can feel scratch with fingernail then start with 3000 sand paper going to and down across scratch until gone then use 5000 for swirls around it before polishing per steps above. NOTE 2: IF you have paint chips use the matching paint color for your car, per color code, from your local Auto parts store (Dupicolor all-in-one, primer, base, clear coat) touch up paint. paint over chips until raised above surrounding paint area. Wait until dry on top and some two more times like this then show to cure for two days. Now follow the same steps for scratch except sand up and down until level with rest of surrounding paint. then use 5000 in several circular motions creating a little larger area. then Polish. chip is now gone and not visible. Good luck!

Guess it works okay

Randy October 3, 2016

Immediately after use, a huge amount of scratches were no longer visible. A few days later, though, I could see many of them again. Not sure why that was so. Anyway, my car looks better. I'm going to do it again and see if that continues improvement.

It doesn't remove scratches

Saeid April 23, 2026

I used it to remove a very superficial scratch but it didn't do anything. I applied generous amount and repeated the process four times but it didn't remove the scratches. It just makes the surface shiny.
