Meguiar's Ultimate All Wheel Cleaner, G180124, 24 oz, Spray

This is the easiest and best wheel cleaner I've ever used. If you have baked on brake dust on your wheels this is the product for you. Simply spray it on and watch as it turns purple letting you know it's dissolving the brake dust and grime. Some extremely dirty wheels will require a little agitation with a soft brush and possibly some more product. I keep up with my wheels, so I usually just spray it on, let it turn purple, then hose it off. Don't let the product dry on the wheels. Wipe off the water with a microfiber cloth for the best results. Always use separate tools for your wheels and the cars body.

I tried the Meguiar’s Ultimate All Wheel Cleaner on the aluminum rims of my 2012 Subaru which had never been cleaned before – that’s about 14 years’ worth of grime and baked on brake dust. Refer to the images below for the story. Let the cleaner sit for about 3 to 5 minutes, then use a non-abrasive pad to scrub the cleaner into the grime, and then rinse with water. Do not let the cleaner dry in place and be sure to spray if off with water before it dries. Do not reapply the cleaner to the rims until the water has evaporated. Be sure to wear gloves and do not get the cleaner on the brake calipers. I chose to also wear a respirator mask because the fumes can be strong. If you are unable to remove each wheel to clean it, then work on the lower sections of each wheel first. Once those sections are clean, move or roll the vehicle until the next sections to be cleaned are at the bottom. Overall, I was satisfied with the cleaner’s performance but I’m not sure how suited it is for painted rims.

Got a 2000 Honda Accord EX Coupe given to me with 117k miles. Car is awesome and has faded paint, and dirty alloy wheels. Bought the Meguiers wheel cleaner around $10/bottle. Was enough to use on all 4 wheels twice! Made the wheels look shiny and new with a minimal effort at the car wash. Cleaned them off, returned next day for second application and everything came out shiny. Used to a nylon brush to agitate the tough spots. Wait 3-4 minutes after applying and hose off. This cleaner works with no scrubbìng when used on a regular basis. The rims on my Lincoln Town Car are aluminum and hadn't been cleaned in thè six years I have owned it, and I don't know how long before that by the previous owner. So it took required multiple applications. We also have a 73 Mustang Mach One with chrome Crager SS rims on it, these cleaned up with one. application removing three months of brake dust and grime. It is a bit pricey, but it worked well for us. My wife cleaned the rims on her 2023 Lexus with minimal effort. Will buy it again.

This stuff works great! I was really surprised that it worked as good as it did for only $10. It changes color as it cleans and dirt just rolls off. Very good product! The only drawback is; it doesn't smell good but that's a small price to pay for a cleaner that works this well.

Very easy to use. It’s a must-have for removing corrosive brake dust from your rims. It turns purple as it reacts with the brake dust, making it easy to see it working.

Megular's wheel cleaner works very well. You just spray the product on dry wheels and let it sit for a few minutes. The cleaner automatically loosen brake dust and other contaminants on the wheel. It turns purple to show that it is working. You can scrub the wheel with a brush to further loosen the grease and brake dust. You then rinse the wheel with a hose to wash everything away. You may have to apply the cleaner again if the wheel is heavily soiled. I find that the product works very well and recommend it.

this cleans the wheels pretty well but the tires still have brown in them after scrubbing 3 times. my tires only have 7000 miles on them and are washed every weekend. the foam became white which indicates they are clean, still had a lot of brown in rubber after it dried.

Tried this. My rims turned a beautiful purple almost immediately. Let the product sit for a few minutes then rinsed with the hose. Purple water and suds filled my driveway. No change to my rims. Sprayed again, this time scrubbed. Was left with dull rims. After a week, I tried Dawn Platinum Spray. Let sit for a few minutes. Wiped with paper towels then rinsed with a wet sponge. Rims have never looked better. Don't waste your time or money on the tire cleaner. It doesn't do what it advertises
