Melissa & Doug Wooden Slice & Stack Sandwich Counter with Deli Slicer – 56-Pieces - FSC Certified

I remember being a kid and trying to mimic a popular sub chain by cutting hot dog buns in the center and placing lunchmeat in them with cheese and condiments. So when I saw this sandwhich counter by Melissa and Doug, it became a must have for my grandchildren. They are still a little young for it, but when I saw the proce dropped at Walmart, I had to purchase it. I can't wait to relive my sandwhich maker fantasies by showing my grandbabies how to play with this toy! Melissa and Doug have been my favorite toy maker for a decade now.

My daughter loves to play with pretend food and this was perfect for her! My only critique would be that the cheese and meat slicer is a little hard to work.

I bought this for my 4-year-old, and it was perfect. We live in a small area and couldn't get a whole kitchen playset, so this was a great alternative. I love the details in all the accessories and my kid loves playing with this sandwich set!

I love this set because it comes with many components that other M%26D sets don't have. For example “drink dispenser”. “Cookie” or “Chips” options. A “cheese/meat slicer” that really brings this toy set to life. A tray and “sandwich wrap”. Also play money of course but the other things are more options for different play that other sets don't have. Overall best M%26D food play set for creativity and value.

Well made. Child loved the wooden pretend meat slicer. The pieces are designed to velcro together which makes play food simple but stays put when making pretend sandwiches. Comes with fake money for check out and food tray. Very recommended for child that love pretend play items.

this is such an extensive play set. I do kinda wish the cheeses and meats were labeled somehow, I don't know what all of them are supposed to be. I also do wish this had a few more things, such as a second bread item, and 2 of all the topping options. the slicer is kind of janky, but ultimately it works just fine. I think the drink dispenser is a cute addition, but it's not actually functional. kinda wish it were, feels slightly pointless. the slit for the card that goes on top is too wide. it should be made solely for the tab to fit, or the card should be remade without the tab, I think. and it'd be nice if all of the sandwich components could stick together.

The kids love this toy. However they have a lot of difficulty using the slicer. The plastic push handle comes off easily and the whole slicer gets stuck on the wooden counter. New design engineering is needed.

This toy is A very unique toy. My daughter made 13. She was very excited about choosing this toy for her birthday. Apparently the toy was dropped or mishandled. When we got it delivered to our door it was cracked / broken. It was a hurtful feeling to receive the toy broken. Walmart employee could have had the decency to at least let us know or leave the broken toy at the store and replace it with one that was not broken.

Looks great and great concept, however poorly designed and not useful for young kids. The sandwich bread has Velcro on 1 side but not the other. Then the sandwich veggies aren't Velcro either. They make the wooden pieces velcro but nothing else making it very difficult to actually assemble a sandwich for a 4 year old. Takes specific assembly to even get the sandwich to work. M%26D took the pizza design, and slapped it on this, which doesn't work unless you are doing open face assembly. Daughter loved it until things constantly came apart. Looks best as a shelf piece vs playing

It's a really cute idea. The deli counter is a fun toy, but it also is supposed to slice and it doesn't. The blade is too big so the items will not clear so that you can cut between them.
