This does exactly what you want it to do. It will power a fan, speaker, or anything up to 200w. The battery life depends on the size of your DeWalt battery and item(s) you are are powering. Cool item for portable power. The USB C and USB ports are handy along with the standard electircal plug port. There is a bright LED light built in.
It does what it is supposed to do. With a bit of engineering Ive been able to use this with Rigid batteries. If you take the casing off you see that there's really not much to it but it gets the job done. Good value for the price. Is it the best? No. Will it do its duty til it doesnt? YEP
One of those things where the more you think about it the more uses you will find. This isn't a generator. It is an inverter which changes DC current to AC current. It pulls voltage from your 20V Dewalt type battery so the more load you put on it the faster the battery will run down. It will not power a larger TV or something like a microwave. It may power some elec coffee pots--I donno. It is fine for low voltage items like lamps, a small fan, any type charger like a computer or phone charger. I find it useful for my Dremel tools. I can use them in remote areas now and not have to purchase the battery operated makes. This inverter eliminates the need for DC powered emergency back-up lamps too for your home that also require special DC bulbs. You can simply plug in your elec end table lamp into this inverter when you need emergency lighting. I'm too old now for boating and camping but I'm sure I could find many uses for this.
I love the ability to operate 120 devices simply by using a DeWalt 20 Volt Max battery, along with this inverter. I bench tested it and found voltage and frequency to be very close to utility. The cooling fan is a bit loud but to be expected. We ran a 90 watt halogen lamp for one half hour load test on a 5 amp battery. Results were very good with the battery just going to "one bar" as the test terminated. I would highly recommend!
Needed this for work because we can't plug things in. So glad I found this!!!
it ran my cpap all night with battery life left over.
Great item it works just perfectly with what I needed it for?
It works very well, it doesn't take up space and the battery lasts a long time.
Great use of a Dewalt battery's!
This thing wasn't designed to power high load devices big plugs from extension cords will brake the outlet of course people are posting pictures of the broken outlet it's made to offer people the option to use DeWalt 20 volt to power small things I'm currently using it to power a 32 inch TV a small fan and a led table lamp plus it has USB ports for charging phones
