I love these disconnects. You do not need to turn off the pressure to unhook because it blocked the flow on disconnect and allows it when reconnected.

Lets me remove the hose running to the hose reel hanging on the post in the middle of my yard so mowing is easier and then easily reattach it when I am done.

These are really nice attachments they do not leak like the ones that are even metal from big stores like Menards and Fleet Farm. Like the shut off feature these have so if nothing is attached water will not come gushing out.

We are pleased with easy on and off hose quick connectors from Melnor. Beats those cheap plastic often offered at your local garden center. Best uy you will make this year. Bill

Texas water has very bad chemicals in it. I got some regular water hoses for my daughter in Midland, Tx and in a few months they were welded to the spigot due to chemical buildup. Has to cut them out. Quick connect was the answer.

Have another set just like these and they lasted 5 years so far. Bought these for another hydrant and work outside in all temps.

This is a good product for disconnection and stopping the flow of water. But to disconnect and water shrubs. water stops.

This coupler was very convenient, but after a dozen connect and disconnects the check valve / gasket failed and rendered it useless. I will try to return it for an exchange and hope it was a single defective unit. If this ends up being the case, I will revise my review.
