We enjoy seeking out the products that encourage creativity and imagination, as well as the products that can engage the entire family! Well one company that I have relied on for years with my kids when it comes to finding those products is Learning Resources, and when we got the Mental Blox, we were once again pleased with our choice! We found this to be a fun puzzle like game that my kids were able to do together. I loved watching to see how while the kids played, it really got the gears going in their heads. I like that it is geared towards being a game that challenges the kids with the various puzzles that they can build using the blocks. I also liked that with the 3 levels of play, that even after the kids completed one level, they could continue to be challenged over and over again! Which in all has made this game not only a great one for having in the home, especially on those cold and rainy days, but also a product that I have added to my list of great gifts to give this coming holiday season!

This is an awesome 3-D puzzle activity that reminds me of Tetris. The first time opening this box and my whole family is addicted already. There are 40 puzzles cards to work out. They did them all with a very little help, and making a contest out of who could do it the quickest. I really like how it makes them look at a problem differently to figure it out, making them use different parts of the brain. *I was not financially compensated for this post. I am always looking for games and toys that will challenge my kids and keep them entertained for longer than five minutes, games that they want to play again and again, and games that engage their minds. Mental Blox 360 is awesome! I love how you really have to use your brain and think outside of the box so to speak to solve the puzzles. I love that Mental Blox 360 is a hands on activity that makes you think. I love that the challenges range from easy (for my youngest son) and increase in difficulty so that even my 19 year old can play this with his little brothers and not get bored. I love that the pieces are durable and can withstand being thrown or dropped, and that this is good for the boys to play with together OR to play with on their own. I've never seen anything like this before, so I also really enjoy the uniqueness of it, and I know that my boys will get years of use out of Mental Blox. I love brain stimulating games for my kids especially ones that don't require a crazy amount of technology to start using. Mental Blox 360 is an innovative challenge for kids built on using basic shapes. My kids love building things, but when put to the challenge to create 3-d puzzles from different perspectives opens up their creativity to an entirely new level. The game features 40 double-sided cards that feature the puzzle on the front and solution on the back so my kids can play and learn all by themselves. There are there levels of play so kids definitely enhance their spatial visualization, critical thinking and problem skills as they advance through the different levels. While both my kids enjoy doing the puzzles on their own, they also love to challenge each other to see who can complete them faster. I even find myself enjoying the challenges while playing with my kids.

Mental Blox are a great form of educational play! I have two daughters that LOVE playing with these. Although the Blox are for ages 5+, my 2 year old still likes to freely build with them. My 5 year old likes trying to solve the puzzles on the cards. And I like that she can do this activity alone. ;) As a former teacher, I would buy these for a classroom in a heartbeat! As Millennials, we are naturally drawn to anything that looks like Tetris so when we were sent Mental Blox 360° it was game over. This isn't any old puzzle game, this one really makes you think, it's almost like playing a Tetris/Monuments Valley mashup in real life. You get these cards with an innocuous picture on them and then with the allotted blocks you have to figure out as quickly as you can how to make the design. Really, it is mental. We have seen a few 3D Building Game's but this one has a fun alternate perspective take on it that really makes it fun for the whole family. You can even compete in teams to see who can create their cards image the quickest. Family game night just got mental! This is a quality product with blocks made to last a long long time with many uses. We can't recommend this STEM set enough.
