Meow Mix Hairball Control Dry Cat Food for Adult Cat, 6.3 lb. Bag

This hairball control formula has helped us so much! Prior to using this we were using regular meow mix for my Husband’s cat. She was getting weekly fur balls and it was ruining mats and furniture. We have had her on meow mix hairball control formula for about two months now and she has stopped throwing up fur balls for over a month. It’s been a big relief. We tried her on a different meow mix formula when we couldn’t get the hairball and she ended up getting an upset stomach. I would recommend to anyone who’s having problems with their cat having hair balls to have them on this formula because it is amazing for her stomach and she loves the taste.

While I've never personally tasted this or even tested the texture in my own mouth, my cats assure me that it tastes better than it smells (let's be honest, ALL cat food smells) and that they much prefer it to other brands that we've tried. It can be a bit tough to find because the hairball version tends to sell out a lot, so we've tried a few others and always end up coming back to this one because I don't like being yowled at for providing sub-par munchies to my feline family members. There are generally a lot fewer hairballs in our daily life when we use this one so that part apparently works as well.

We have a multi-generational household of cats, and this food workings wonderfully for all of them! It was a challenge to find multiple foods for hairball control, didn't upset stomachs, had small kibble and that was enjoyed by most of them, so when our older two made the switch naturally with zero issue it was wonderful! They've had zero weight issues, and one of our boys no longer has a skin condition from food sensitivities that the vet feels could have been different amounts in previous foods tried. All in all, we are really impressed with anf absolutely pleased with this food!

Our indoor cat is prone to hairballs but has side effects wgen given hairball medicine. The Meow Mix formula for hairball prevention is great. The onky problem we have ut that it is not always available locally.

Great value for the price. My cat hasn't had any hairballs issues since I started feeding her this and she's in great health. Good size bag so that it lasts a long time but not so long I need to worry about it going bad or ending up with bugs in it. My indoor cat loves eating it and will come meowing and rubbing against my legs as soon as she sees the bag in my hands and she usually sticks her head in the bowl to eat before I'm even done pouring it.

I would only recommend this if you have cats that have hairballs because it all it comes in a 6 pound bag he used to have bigger bags in this. Do you have multiple cats? You're spending extra money.

yes I would but the only thing is the company has made the package smaller and the price is high for this cat food and you really don't get enough per package for the money and it doesn't last long too

i usually get the original meow mix for the strays i feed outside and one of the 3 of my inside babies likes to eat a little from the cup when i go feed the outside cats, and even the birds love to eat cat food! i looked it up and cat food is not healthy for birds but i cant get them to stop lol they swarm it if the cats arent out there waiting lol. but since i thought a little more fiber for the outsiders, plus i give mine purina hairball control. So i ordered this meow mix hairball control.. and the birds wont touch it lmao. the strays have nothing to eat so they have to eat it but they dont eat much at all so then the ants go at the rest, and my insider boy wont touch this kind.. sooo, i went back to original and everyone is happy again haha.

So this is in no way a complaint if the cat food, but in walmart thinking bigger is better. I mix the 3lb bag with another meow mix catfood for flavor. My cats enjoy it. Walmart decided to get rid of the smaller size of just this one. So now i cant just do a 1 to 1 mix. Now ive got an open bag of cat food . Bigger is not always better! bring back the smaller size!

The paper container (which is paper) was ripped due to the fact that a heavy box with corner edges was placed on top of the much lighter paper bag and it was ripped and spilled out onto the delivery person’s car. Reported to customer service and was told they do not handle that. The driver then called customer service and reported it!
