Mercer Culinary Millennia Offset Bread Knife, 9-Inch, Black

I bought this to slice my homemade sourdough and it is great. Much sharper than my old bread knife. I already have 4 Mercer knives and I love them. When I decided I needed a new knife I knew I wanted a Mercer. I think the angle of the handle allows more pressure when you to are slicing crusty bread.

I bought it to cut rye sourdough bread. Unfortunately it could not cut sourdough bread, kept slipping and I had to hold down the bread (almost crushing it) and be very careful for the knife not to slip and cut me. Its difficult to find a good reasonably priced serrated bread knife ---and Ill keep looking till I find that.
