Mercer Mayer: Just Grandma and Me (Little Critter) (Reprint) (Paperback)

I bought this book to take to Florida, 5 yrs ago, when I went to stay with my oldest daughter and grandchildren. Their ages were 3 & 7. Both kids really enjoyed my reading the book to them, even the 7 year old. The pictures were entertaining and a good size to focus on. We went over all the 'critters' & extra animals on each page and talked about them. I found it a wonderful book, so much that when my newest granddaughter was born, I purchased the book for her. I highly recommend it. This is a super way for grandparents to bond with their grandchildren.

Sweet little book. I read this book with my grandchildren over and over. They love it. It's one of thier favorite books.

Bought this for my grand daughter and she absolutely loves it! Reading the story to her Mom inspired a trip to the beach. LOL

I got this for my grandson and I think he's going to love it. He loves books about family. I'm saving this for a gift for him.

I have my grandson a lot ever since he was born and this b ook is just another thing we read together. He's 5 and will be able to read this real soon. Cute story

Most of the humorous antics were lost on the young children, still some short explaining helped. Oklahoma does not have a beach, that needed explanation so brought a BIG shell and they listened to their blood making "wave crashing" noise as they held the shell to their ears. Little Critter has grandparents interacting and makes me like this Little Critter book.

These classic stories are over 40 years old. I had them when I was little and now I am reading them to my grand children. Funny humor adults can get, but you would be surprised how much little ones understand or enjoy the stories just the same. I know from experience. The pictures alone are so detailed and this one also has the grasshopper and spider you can play seek and find with. The little ones like to read back to me making up their own stories. They also love pretending to be the little one in the book.

I love this book! Because of COVID 19 I can't see my grandchildren so I have a"Grandma Story Time" every night with a video of me telling stories. I included this story as part of my story time. The grandkids loved it! It reminded them of the time we all went to the beach together. It is great story.

Great book & great illustrations!

I had this book when I was a little girl and I loved it! I liked the part where the little critter "buries" his grandma in the sand and then tickles her toes. It's a cute story for little ones. I'm 5 months pregnant now and this book, as well as the rest of the "Little Critter" books are definitely on the reading list!
