Bought a refurbished 55R617 which arrives damaged. disappointed but customer service was pretty good (when they finally figured out why I hadn't received my replacement after the original one was sent back). The rep offered me 10% for my trouble so I received the TV and a 4 year extended warranty at a GREAT price. Now to the TV. After tweaking the picture settings it was beautiful. Absolutely the best bang for the buck. I highly recommend this model if you want a great picture on a budget. Couldn't be happier!

This tv is one of the brightest tvs I have seen and produces some of the deepest blacks I have seen for an LCD. The picture quality is fantastic and the design looks modern. Also as a bonus the feet stand can be reversed to fit more cabinet sizes and it fit mines perfectly because of that. I highly recommend this tv that is looking for a great value tv with still great picture quality.

I came very close to getting a Samsung QLED for $1500 when I came across the TCL UHD in some reviews. The picture is stunning and the Roku interface is so simple even my wife -- who tends to find electronic controls difficult -- can navigate pretty easily. But the price was the clincher. The two day delivery was the icing on this cake.

Amazing For the $$$. Picked up a 5 series and it was great but I upgraded to a 6 series because...reasons. The picture quality is frickin amazing for a TV thats under 600. It doesnt get as bright as some of the other $1000+ TVs out there but its half the price for the same picture quality. The simulated 120 Hz refresh is pretty outsatnding. And the GAMER mode is a crisp 17 ms response time. Thanks TCL! I'll be recommending this set to others!

The TV was the second one we ordered. The first one arrived with a cracked screen. The package again had only one strap on the carton the same as the first TV that we ordered. The tape on the top had been opened. We removed the carton from the TV in the store to verify the screen wasn't cracked. It wasn't! A piece of triangular urethane fell out of the box during the unpacking in the store. I didn't know what it was but later found out it went on the foot. I thought I had it but never found it again. After unpacking the set at home we were short two AAA batteries that should of been the bag with the remote. There was a loose screw in the bottom of the package. It went in the back panel so I decided to check the other screws in the back and found some loose on both sides. The middle screws checked O.K. We hung the TV on the wall so only used the feet briefly until we could hang it. We like the TV so far and it has lots of capabilities which will take some time to explore. I need to download the operating instructions and read them so we will know exactly how the screen adjustments and features work. So far everything is working as expected. It has a great picture and we aren't using it's full capability yet.

TCL Roku TV's are garbage. I bought this tv a little over 2 years ago. It constantly loops in a power cycle and will not boot up to the home screen. TCL customer service is awful. They refuse to assist in repairing the tv saying that they can't troubleshoot over the phone and I need to pay a repair shop. If you buy a TCL make sure you get the extended warranty! The software for the tv causes the power cycling issues if using any apps so the Roku function is useless. I had the power cycle issue twice, and on the second time it cannot be worked around anymore by using the reset button in the back of the tv. Only option now is paying someone to repair it if that's even possible.

It seems like a good buy with good reviews, good specifications and reasonable price. But after I received this TV, I found there are some vertical bands issue just like some other customers have. I had decided not to return it because there will be lot of works to move this big TV for this minor issue and I like its price. After Just one year, right before Christmas, it stops working and TCL said it is out of warranty and do not offer any help to repair it. I did not purchase an extended warranty because I feel I don't need it. My old Sony TV worked for more than 10 years without any issue. My Sharp TV works for more than 6 years now and still going strong. This made in China TCL TV really disappoint my. They cut corner with no quality control at all to make their TV cheap to manufacture. I spent hundreds of dollars for a TV only last for a year. It is very EXPENSIVE actually. Never buy TCL TV again!

I returned the TV. TCL is a good product 4K HDR, the only big problem is the ROKU. All the cool application on the ROKU does not work anymore. Stopped working: Plex Classic, Exoplayer, M3U and other cool applications. I bought a new TV with ANDROID TV
