This cheese spread is delicious spread over crackers as a snack or to go with a salad lunch. It's very tasty and comparable to some of the expensive cheese spreads bought at specialty stores. And, it's made of real cheese!

This is a very unique product. It sort of reminds me of a very high quality cheese whiz or the cheese spread you get in the little cracker packages. This stuff is great. It seems to taste better as you eat it so then you start to crave it. Merkts is a fun product I am so glad I got to try. I wish I could find a recipe to incorporate it because it is good with everything I have used so far such as bread and crackers. This tastes great on crackers. I have also eaten it on bagels. It has a really good flavor. I love cheese and was pleased with this product. They asked me if I had shared it during an event. No, it's a global pandemic, so no events or gatherings right now. I did share it with others by giving them tubs of the cheese, and they enjoyed it and said it was really good. I brought the Merkts Port Wine Spread to a gathering I attended along with some crackers. It was interesting to see people's reactions to trying it. I think some people have the false idea that it's more like a cheese whiz type product then a high quality spreadable cheese. However once they try it their minds are completely changed. Even the hesitant picky food eaters enjoyed it. For dinner that evening we cooked up some burgers and I decided to add it on top of my patty. Others joined in and added it. Everyone enjoyed their burger that much more. The texture is smooth and creamy. You can taste the quality of the cheese with every bite. The taste is a rich cheddar but it's not overpowering. It's the perfect consistency and flavor with the port wine adding just a small kick of extra flavor. I also like how versatile it is. I've been wanting to make pretzels just so I can try it with the cheese! I imagine they would taste amazing together. Aside from crackers and burgers I've also used it with meatballs and in recipes and it's the perfect topper to so many meals. It's delicious and I highly recommended trying it!

This cheese spread by Merkts is the best I've tried! The texture is smooth and velvety. Great on crackers, and especially celery. The port wine adds a nice flavor throughout the spread. Love to have this on hand for impromptu parties for easy prep appetizers - just add wine or a beer on the side. I received a discount for my honest opinion.

After trying the original flavor, we HAD to try this Port Wine version. Needless to say, we are very impressed. The same quality ingredients, plus Port Wine (hence the red swirls in the cheese) have an outstanding flavor. This flavor pairs well with veggies, pretzels, chips and even on a grilled burger or brat. We had some neighbors over, and they all loved it. Simply put, Merkts cheese spreads have become a staple in our fridge when we are craving a delicious cheesy zing!

I have bought other brands of this kind of cheese that were always so over powering especially the wine taste. We bought both kinds available...the port wine and the sharp cheddar version. The Merkts brands are scrumptious! We ate them on crackers, on toast , dipped pretzels in them and... added them to Mac and cheese!! That was a giant hit out of the park! II am going to make a baked potato soup tonight and cant wait to try this cheese as my secret ingredient! Besides my husband myself and our friends enjoying this cheese I have to fight my dogs to stay away from it when were eating it!

I really enjoyed my Merkts Port Wine Cheddar Cheese spread. Had it with some good seeded crackers and made for a delicious snack. Also tried it on some grilled hamburgers and oh my god it was so good!! I love the size of the tub, not too big or small, just big enough to be able to use it all before it goes bad. My family all really enjoyed this cheese spread too. Will definitely be adding this to our weekly shopping list now. I highly recommend trying this yummy Port Wine Cheddar Cheese spread.

Really like this cheese. It's great on crackers as a snack (I recommend taking it out of the fridge for an hour before eating so it softens up a bit. I like it on sourdough bread and celery stalks as well. It tastes like real cheese (because it is) and not a weird fake cheese product and the sweetness of the port wine is great. I had never tried this brand but really like it, especially the taste and texture. Several people in my family tried it and liked it as wee, and they said they will be buying it as well. I had the opportunity to try merkts port wine cheese spread and was pleasantly surprised. My favorite was to spread on crackers. It is very creamy and has a great unique flavor due to the port wine.
