So happy this product is now available at Walmart. Hasn't been an option in the past. It is the best cheese spread ever made!
Simply put..It's great! We love it. It has a nice strong cheddar flavor and goes fantastic on pretzels.
Ordered your brand of Mucinex. They did not have it on Saturday, but they delivered it the next day on Sunday. They were very prompt and getting it here. That was the first time I've ever been able to get pork wine cheddar cheese without it being in a ball surrounded by nuts. I saw this as I was choosing other things that I thought I would try it and it has been absolutely wonderful. We'll be buying that again.
Merkt's Cheese spreads have been my go-tos for decades. Everything about them is just right. I don't like bland cheese spreads. Every one of Merkt's spreads has big, bold flavor. The sharps are sharp and the extra sharps are truly "extra". Spreadability is great, although for some easily breakable crackers or pretzels you need to take it out and let it soften a little. I buy pretzel snaps for that reason, because I Iike my cheese spread good and cold. I wish Walmart carried the other two varieties of Merkt's, or carried the Williams Cheddar Horseradish spread. Merkt's should make a cheddar horseradish spread. Other brands do, and it sells.
I really like this port wine cheese. It has the sharpness of a cheddar cheese along with the taste of the port wine. I personally like the cheese on a Ritzs cracker. Take the cheese out of the fridge for about 20 minutes before serving . It will spread easier.
Been eating this cheese for years. it is consistently delicious. For ease of spread let it sit out around 15 minutes to more easily spread. I love it on whole wheat crackers. also great to use pretzel rods to dip into it. Again after letting it warm up for easier dipping.
this is a quality cheese spread. it is great on crackers and my favorite is to use it to dip pretzel rods into it. It is usually best when it's left out and warms up a little bit to soften but it can be eaten right out of the fridge. this company has produced a quality product for a long time. the wine version is also delicious.
Reminds me of my grandpa and nights after finishing chores on the farm. It was one of our nightly rituals crackers and cheese like this (also a small glass of beer, don't judge it was the eighties and he was a German farmer). Anyway I get this for snacks with my kids and they love it too.
This lasts forever, we buy it twice a year.. spread it on crackers a couple times a week for our movie nights along with meats and other cheeses. Love the flavor, and love it even more when I get the extra port taste in there. They do not skimp and the entire creamy thing is a joy to eat.
You can barely taste the unique zing of the port wine. I've had a good version of this and this is not one of them. It basically tastes like a cheap cheddar cheese spread. at this cost level is frustrating that you can barely taste the port wine which is the whole reason why you're buying it. I'm pretty sure the red color is red dye and not really port one. frustrating!
