Merkur 23 Long Handled Mens Safety Razor

I bought it for my husband. He has very sensitive skin on his neck. I haven't seen any razor bumps since he started using it. Be ready for a touch up pass, but that's a good thing for sensitive skin.

If you are transition from a cartridge razor. This absolutely mildest and safest razor to start wet shaving. No cuts or wipers using this razor.

Have always enjoyed a double-edged safety razor. This produce is internationally available and it by far and away the best price I've seen. It arrived promptly as advertised.

Wow! Closest shave of all options I have tried, including Wilkinson Sword and Edwin Jagger. The Edwin Jagger razor handle is heavier and a higher quality but the Mercur shaves better, which is the point. Perhaps this may be due to the included Mercur blade but I will find out.

This is my second Merkur 23C razor and both have been excellent. The quality and workmanship is second to none. I definitely recommend Merkur and the 23C if that model works for you.

Razor is well made however it does shave as close as I anticipated it would. I should have gotten an open guard.

My son turned me on to shaving with a safety razor. I was spending way too much money for cartridge blades. I like the extra length of the handle. It's a little fiddly to change blades because the handle does not have a knob at the base but rather the entire handle turns to release the blade.

Worked very well and handled itself nicely. Not as well-balanced as another one I have tried. I am a big man and would have liked a slightly longer handle.

I was looking for an ecologically better choice for shaving than disposable razors. This was advertised as a long handled razor. This handle was only 5 inches long, and the razors were very difficult to place. There are better options out there.
