The switches work as expected. Just know the following combinations for when you are away: One switch ON/One switch OFF= Light is off, Both switches ON or both OFF = Light is ON. You can set up a tap-to-run smart scene for each state in the Geeni app to easily turn on or off.

Merkury Innovations smart Wi-Fi 3- way light switch kit was simple to install when following the wires when unhooking the existing light switch. The switch itself is quite sensitive. The guide comes with a complete step by step color guide for install. There is 2 buttons inside the switch that serves as a power reset and Wi-Fi restart. For the Wi-Fi restart a indicator light helps you understand where you stand on the switch's connecting to your home Wi-Fi, which is required at 2.4GHz. This switch works great with the Geeni app, it also connects to Google Assistant, Amazon Alexa, and Microsoft Cortana.

Got it pretty fast with no damage to its packaging box. The product itself is durable and well made. The light switch came with wall plate and the switch itself is very nice and sensitive to touch. It didn't take long for my husband to install it. It comes with instruction manual too. It came with accessories as well so all you really need are tools to install in on your wall. Works well with our alexa/echo and with our phone. We love it. Helps so much when we want to go to the kitchen at night when its dark...dont hesitate to buy! Works well!!

These are fantastic. Now that Ive figured them out, Im going to buy a few more sets. They work a little different than some of the other 3 way switches out there. I really wish the instructions were better, if they explained up front what each one of the circuit leads on the switch did... it would have been so much easier to hook up. My home wiring is a little different than most. In my first switch box I have both the main and load wires, the most common wiring has the main in switch box 1 and the load in switch box 2. I have a 3wire(White, Black, Red) that runs from box 1 to box 2. Main is tied to black, White and Red are travelers. There is no neutral in my box 2, which means I couldn't use both switches in the same circuit. Which was perfect because I didn't want to anyway, I wanted to use 1 smart switch and 1 mechanical switch (more bang for your buck). There are a lot of other switches out there that can't do this. I wired the switch as follows I connected the White neutral wire to the rest of the neutrals in Box1. Green to common ground. Black wire (labeled in the instructions as Live, which is misleading) goes to the Load, in my case the lights. Brown wire SW1 (labeled as Load Wire in the instructions, again misleading) goes to Traveler 1 coming from my Box 2 (I used the white wire). Blue wire SW2 goes the Traveler 2 coming from my Box 2 (red wire). The mechanical switch in my box 2 alternates 120 volts on the traveler wires when the switch is toggled. So there is always 120 volts either on the Traveler 1(white) or Traveler 2(red). This is how the smart switch gets its power. It can also see the voltage change between Traveler 1 and 2 which tells the smart switch it if the light is on or off. Even if I use the mechanical switch to change the lights on/off the smart switch can tell if the lights are on or off because of the voltage change on the travelers, so the app (I use google home) is always accurate.

The Merkury Innovations Smart 3-Way Switch Kit is great! It makes it so easy to replace switches and make your life better in the process. The kit has helped me so much, especially since I can access it directly on my device! The design of the switches is very simple and fits perfectly in any room. Connecting these two switches to whichever light makes it easy to turn it on and off whenever you please. With the app, you can even get the light to turn on and off just depending on your location! The technology put into this product is impressive and it functions really well. I really like these switches and they're very useful in everyday life. I can set them up in my living room and easily turn the main light on and off whenever I please without even getting off the couch! All of the directions to use the switches are simple which I like as well. I highly recommend this product.

My husband wired the switches up within a few minutes, he didn't run into any problems. I installed the Geeni app from the Google Play Store and had it connected right away, no issues there either. They function as light switches should, no complaints. The really cool part is that they work with Google Assistant! I don't have a Google Home hub or any of the others, I do use the assistant on my phone regularly, though. All I have to say is "Google, turn the lights on" and they're on! You can also set schedules or control them from your phone when you're not home.

After using Voice controlled switches around the house, I decided to switch them all out. Some of my switches are 3 way, so it was going to take a special controller. I found these by Merkury, and have been happy so far. After reading some reviews, I decided to try to use them as 2 different systems. So one kit, is controlling 2 sets of lights. The only issue is that the on and off is sometimes reversed depending on if I switched the other "dumb" switch. The software is unaware of the change that way. But from what I was reading, that happens sometimes, even if you are using both smart switches on the same circuit. One other thing to take note of, is that you need to make sure that your wiring has a neutral (white) line running to the switch. It is required.

It took me a few days to get this light installed because you have to have some electrical knowledge, or hiring electrician. I had a relative that knows how to do this stuff install it for me. After downloading the app and figuring out how to use it at first I thought it wasn't very useful, then I got used to using it and I use it more now. I have it hooked up to my first floor hallway lights and it's nice to be able to turn them on and off on my way home and after I leave for work. The only negatives is that you might have to hire an electrician to install it for you and that the wall plates it comes with or for single Outlets, that was an issue for me because one of my switches was on a duplex Outlet . The guy who put it in for me managed to fashion and outlet plate to make it work, I don't know if he made it or bought it . We tried this on two different light switches and couldn't get it to work. So, say, I can't recommend this product. However, the app is user friendly and easy to use. The light switch did not work on my plant room or in my bathroom. Hopefully, you will have better luck. I had my husband install it, and he couldn't get it to work. Then, I had a handyman come over to install it. He also could not get it to work. Great concept, but we just couldn't get it to do what the box said it could do.

I ordered these switches as a thank you to my techy contractor who has been a god-send over my reno projects. Only to be told.by him that the wires on one of the units were cut! Is.Wal-Mart/ Merkury repackaging used or defective items? See accompanying photos of one intact unit and another one.totally useless.
