Merkury Innovations Indoor/Outdoor Smart Plug, Weather Resistant

I raise quail and chickens. I needed a way to be able to turn the heater in the brooder pen on at night and off during the day without me physically having to go out at night to plug in the unit or go out to unplug it after it started to warm up during the day. I also did not want to take the chance of forgetting to plug in the heat plate and have my chicks getting cold. I am using this Wi-Fi smart plug from Merkury Innovations to run the heat source in my coop automatically and it works great! This plug requires 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi to operate remotely or it can be operated manually by simply pushing the power button. It will also work with smart assistant devices such as Alexa or Google Home. The app was super easy to download using the QR code printed on the included instruction sheet. I quickly set up my account following the instructions on the app and entered the security code sent to me via email. I have a dual band router so I had to make sure it was set to 2.4 GHz. Then the app located and connected right up to the smart plug automatically. I set up a schedule in the app to turn the smart plug on at 9 pm and off at 7 am. I never have to worry about it again. I can even control the plug through the app if I am out of town and the temperature starts to get colder than expected. It can be used indoors or outdoors and has a mounting bracket built in on the back of the plug.

I received the Merkury Innovations Indoor/outdoor 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi smart plug in green a couple weeks ago. I have to say the device is well made and has a tight weather seal. It comes in a green rubberized cord and green case which houses the plug and wi-fi components. The case is durable and weather resistant. The setup for the device was very simple. Easy to download the app and connect to the home router after pushing the pairing/power button. The connection is strong and the app works great. I actually have light bulbs tide to the app from the same manufacturer. Technology literally at your fingertips. I chose this to help me easily turn the back patio decorative lights on and off. The app and connection is flawless. The cord appears to be heavy enough to handle some decent power. It's ideal for outdoors due to the style but there is no reason why it can't be used inside if not seen. I would recommend this plug as it is a great product and easy to use. No complaints here.

I really love this Merkury Innovations Indoor/Outdoor Wi-Fi Smart Plug! It is so convenient and allows us to control features around our house so easily. The quality is really good and I can tell it will be very durable, even in the elements outside. The setup was so easy using the included instructions. All I had to do was download the Geeni app to get started, which was easy and has great reviews. The entire process was very seamless and not confusing or complicated at all and it worked right away. I hooked up our video baby monitor first, just to get an idea of how it worked. I was so pleasantly surprised by just how easy and convenient it was right away. I can now easily turn the baby monitor on and off with just a simple tap of a button on my phone. It's so simple and great! I know we will also get one to use outside for our Christmas lights because it's just so much easier. It will be nice to not have to go outside just to turn the lights on and off, because it's in a really difficult area to reach. And when it's cold and dark, no one wants to have to go out just for Christmas lights every night. I definitely recommend this WiFi smart plug to anyone wanting to simplify their life and be able to turn electrical items on and off with a simple app on their phone!

This plug is such a help, when you can't be there in person! Simply use the app on your phone to set timers, or turn things off and on when ever you need them! It's nice because I can use it inside or outside my home! The app is easy to install and set up. I can even share access to this with other member of my household! I also discovered another bonus with this product, it can connect to Alexa! I can also connect multiple devices together! Someone seriously thought of it all when designing this plug-in! I can't say enough about it and how easy it is to work. I tend to be a little electronically delayed when it comes to learning new devices, LOL. So the fact that I was able to set it up all by myself really says a lot!

The Merkury Innovations Indoor/Outdoor Wi-Fi Smart Plug seems to work well inside our home for our living room lamps but I really can't wait to use it outdoors for our Christmas lights! The app is easy to install and use. I wish the cord was a little longer and that it had more than 1 plug in. Overall I would recommend this product.

I received the Merkury Innovations Indoor/Outdoor Wi-Fi Smart Plug (Green), and I'm not sure how I did it before. Every year with the lights I dread taking out the timer, having to program the time (then daylight savings happens), remember and set each day with each time. Not anymore, with this wifi smart plug it's as easy as opening the app. Now I can everything ready to go in minutes. Installing the plug was a snap and set up of the app was no problem. Each step walks you through how to program it. The plug has been outside for a few days now and I haven't had any problems. I just can't believe how easy it was to use. I also love being able to turn the outdoor lights on with a touch oh a button and with Alexa. Great find.

I have needed one of these for a while. I wanted to get one during the winter to help regulate my Christmas lights display. I only wanted this for the strict purpose of being able to turn my lights on and off from my devices connected to the intranet. The plug works great. Was very simple to connect to my network and once connected I was able to use the app to control the plug. Whatever I had connected to the plug would turn on and off at the press of my phone button. I am thrilled with the ability to be more lazy and regulate my outdoor plug.

I love to decorate my house inside and out for Christmas. I just bought some new inflatable Christmas decorations that I am so excited to use. This smart Wi-Fi indoor/outdoor plug will be so nice to use. I can control it with my phone and it is weather resistant. Plus I can set a schedule for it to turn on and off that is very convenient. I have a Google hub at home also and this is compatible with it. Love that idea! Also compatible with Alexa and Microsoft Cortana. The app can be downloaded from Google play and Apple app store. I am so happy to have this and can't wait to see what will come about at Christmas time.

The Merkury Innovations Indoor/Outdoor Wi-Fi Smart Plug is a great way to control backyard lighting or other outdoor electronics from an easy to use app on your phone, or even better with voice commands via google or Amazon Alexa (I used google). I live in the rainy Pacific Northwest so not having to go outside to unplug backyard or holiday lights at night in the rain definitely comes in handy. There's an easy-to-download/easy-to-use app that interfaces with the Google Home app I was already using for other devices in my home. Super easy to set up in about 1-2 minutes. Piece of cake to integrate this extra smart plug, and I could give it my own name so I can say "Hey google, turn off backyard lights" and it's that easy! One thing to note is this does not work on 5 GHz wi-fi like many other smart devices. It needs to be 2.4 GHz. Awesome product and highly recommended!

Super simple plug to set up. The Geeni app was easy to install and features many options. You can add a schedule, notifications, alerts, add multiple plugs to monitor, time delay and so much more. The app was easy to install, (I have an iPhone 7, my husband has an iPhone 6) and it set up on both phones with no issues. You can log in on any device, like an iPad or a Mac. I currently have the plug out front with some twinkle lights plug in that are in my trees, but when winter comes, it will be used for the gutter heaters. The app sends alerts when something is amiss, so it will be nice to know if the heaters are not working if I am out of town. I love the compact size, it is unobtrusive and doesn't stand out. There are not several feet of cord to wind up and contain which I really like. I also like the plug cover if it is not in use. Over all easy to set up, easy to use, app was easy to set up and use. Overall, a great wi-fi plug.
