Bought these for my active 8 year old daughter for her first hiking shoes. She says they're comfortable and loves wearing them! They've done well on the Texas trails she's worn them on so far and we're hoping they will fare well in the Rockies this summer!
These boots are so comfortable and are definitely made for the outdoors lifestyle. Took them hiking for miles, all weather experiences. It rained on us and also got extremely hot. These boots were made for this. These boots need dirt, rocks, water, mud, sand, concrete, grass, you name it!
Best all around hiker/shoe and great quality!! I have ordered many pairs of these Moab hikers over the years for my family and have never been disappointed. I've tried other hikers but these are, by far, the best I've ever put on my feet. We live in the mountains of Western Maine and a good all around shoe is necessary for living here. These shoes give great support, stability, and traction when walking or hiking outdoors. Well worth the money!
Very sturdy shoe. Well constructed. Merrell a seem to Run a little bit small, so we had to return and size up.
I'm a woman with smallish feet with bunions, so I need a very wide shoe. Big kid sizes seem to work best for me. Been wearing these shoes for a couple of weeks now to pick up groceries, walking during the day - very comfortable with good support.
This fit great. We hike together about 5 times a week. If there was a velcro option I would take that, still haven't taught him to tie his shoes. Other than that its the perfect hiking shoe for a little guy. He loves that they look just like mine. He feels confident to walk in places that require traction. Good stuff
True to size. Comfortable and durable trail shoe. My son loves them.
Purchased these shoes for my 11 yr son. He is about 80 lbs. he liked the shoes and stated they were comfortable while he wore them for about a week around the house and such. Then we took them hiking after one day of hiking he started to complain the bottom of his feet hurt bad. We hike 15 miles that day and when we got back I chexked them out and the insoles were flattened like paper. There was not padding left in them they were just crushed flat. We put Dr Scolls insoles in them and completed a 20 mile hike the next day up Half Dome in Yosemite and to other trails with not complaints at all. So address the poor insile padding and its a good shoes.
I have small feet and often order kids shoes size 3W. I ordered sizes 3W and 3.5W and am glad I did because the 3W was too small. I wore these shoes for the first time on a short hike in Michigan and got some small blisters, but the shoes were pretty comfortable on following hikes, they just needed to be broken in. I took them on a trip out west to a variety of national parks, and they held up well. I have noticed that even though I ordered wide shoes, my toes still feel a little cramped in the toe box. The laces also do not lace up tightly due to the small amount of lacing holes, so I found myself having to retie the shoes every hour or so. These are fine hiking shoes from what I can tell, and I will keep them for a while, but for me, they're not to die for
Horrible product! Hurt my sons feet with something jabbing him on the foot the first day- bad workmanship. Also the threads on top seam are unraveling. Waste of money.
