Dogs love the food and the ingredients are high quality!
Hi, I'm Maggie, an Irish Terrier. My mom calls me a picky eater but then she got this new food. She told me it has chicken, sweet potatoes and peas. Whatever it has, I love it! All I have to say is woof, woof, that's Terrier for thanks mom, you're the best!
I got my Pit Bull from a pound where he was at the time only 47 pounds... He is now 65 pounds of pure muscle thanks to Merrick - Grain free real Chicken and Sweet Potato... and long walks... He was pathetic at the time of adoption. Had 3 days left to live... He is now THRIVING!! You can pay a little more for quality food or buy that junk that is out there and end up paying for it via Vet visits... It is absolutely worth it and Masuka loves eating it..
Never had a dog that itched so much before. When we got Lola, she always itched until someone suggested Merrick grain free food. We brought home a different food just one time and she started scratching her back on the furniture again. So we won't ever change again. It also helps us maintain a very healthy "light" weight for her, which our vet really likes because English Bulldogs have so many health problems related to weight.
I bought this food with some hesitation because my mini dachshund is so picky! He will starve himself rather than eating a kibble he doesn't like. He is eating regularly and maintaining a good healthy weight on this grain free food. He is also prone to dry itchy skin and this food seems to relieve his symptoms.
My dog was a little on the heavier side, and would ask to be fed all day. I think previous food did not have enough nutrients to get her full. When I switched her to Merrick, she stopped asking me so much for food, and would even leave some food to munch on at a later time, where before she would finish it all and ask for more, right away. It was not that she did not like it, because she comes as soon as she hears the food drop in her plate, and starts eating right away. She also dropped a few pounds and has maintained an average weight for a dog her size eating this food, and no additional exercise was needed. So happy with this food.
"I'm a golden retriever who's mom has been feeding me the Grain Free Chicken and Sweet Potato dry and I love it. My coat is soft and glowing and my stools are small and firm. Great food and so healthy. I also like the canned Merrick Smothered Comfort - delicious!!"
We're on our fifth bag of Merrick, I started out with the Classic which was great but then decided to switch to Grain Free, my dog did well on both. She's an 8 year old rescued pit mix that is doing great on Merrick and eats it readily with no digestive issues and always has dark firm stools, an indicator of good digestion. I've compared the ingredients and guaranteed analysis with other brands of premium dried foods including Wellness and Blue Buffalo and chose Merrick which in my opinion is the best of similarly priced premium dog foods... also I'm a big proponent of sourced in USA. I just wish I had tried Merrick years ago.
I have been feeding my "crew" Merricks and they absolutely love it. I have noticed that they eat ALL of their food at once. No leftover food in their bowls. The size of the food is perfect for all of them. They are all senior age now (15, 11,10, 7) Also, I have noticed their fur/coat are more shiny and they all seem to have more energy and don't sleep 24 hours a day! I will continue to buy Merrick forever.
I bought this food and transitioned her from her old food, the first few days she did fine but then started to develop loose stool. Today she ate just the merrick and within a hour of eating had loose stool. I will be returning and switching back to her old food.
