Mesa Safe 0.8 cu. ft. Adjustable Wall Safe with Electoronic Lock, MAWS2113E

Great safe for the money, in my case i received mines in what seem to be mint condition but the main welds that hold the guides for locking pins had just gave out during shipping. I contacted their tech support dept. and after sending them some pictures of the failed welds they have shipped me a new one, for that reason I give them five stars... because they stand behind their product. Now just have to hope this one gets here in one piece.

Excellent product at a reasonable price

Product arrived as described. Installation relatively simple by removing safe door. However, fasteners, including set screws, are metric and I had to find metric allen wrench.

I had it installed by my regular contractor. bottom support was all that had to be added because of the weight of the steel.

I gave this Mesa safe 4 stars instead of 5 because they did not supply me with adequate hardware to install the safe. I received 4 (¼ x 2”) lag bolts to anchor it to the wall studs. In my opinion this was not enough, I used 12 (¼ x 2 ½”) lag bolts to secure it. I followed the directions pretty close with 2 exceptions. After cutting the opening in the wall, for added support I put a piece of 2x4 horizontally between the wall studs, across the bottom edge inside of the wall opening. Also, after I adjusted the depth of the safe I removed it from the wall, placed it face down and then sealed all of the seams with silicon caulk, then I wrapped it with duck tape. Hopefully this will help seal out moisture. The installation took about 4 hours from opening the box to cleanup. In my opinion this is a good safe at a reasonable price and I would recommend it.

The safe is fine but the delivery was terrible. The box was open and the delivery person damaged my garage door frame when he briskly set the heavy package beside it. He dented it in. Trying to get Walmart claims is ridiculous!

Never delivered- showed delivered to another state- 5 days before Christmas- so now too late to re-order- back to square one trying to find something else last minute.

This the worst purchased that I have made in a very long time. I did my online research on this safe and found no major complaints. After reading the instructions twice, I tried to install it two days latter. Setting up the adjustable part of the safe is a pure NIGHTMARE! If you have 2x4 studs there is barely enough room for adjusting bolt and the anchoring bolts to fit in the same slots. To make the install easier I removed the safe door (per instruction manual). Atfer I reinstalled the safe door, I could not close it because the mounting bolts blocked the swing of the door. After 2 hours of trying different solutions I gave up. Two days later I bought different wall safe made specifically for 2x4 construction. This was THE worst $125 I ever spent.
