Mesa Safe Fire Resistant Security Safe with Lock, MBF3820C

Can to the store. I picked it up. Came home and opened the box. All was good. No damage. Did have trouble with the combanation til i figured it out, now its a piece of cake. Love the fact it has an oulet AND usb plug inside. I can keep secret things charged and use a drying bar inside.

Great product at a reasonable price.

Very good value for the price

We basically bought this safe to keep my Mom's important papers locked up instead of renting a second Safety Deposit box for her. Very nice for the money. Arrived on time. Not a ding, scratch, or dent. Even though the shippers statement said they would leave the safe on the first dry piece of land the guys offered to bring it in the house. Due to not reading the directions carefully :) I could not open the safe. So I called Mesa technical support expecting to leave a message and wait on a return call. Nope.....the guy answered and walked me through it......I was forgetting the slight turn to the right once the combo was in. All in all a 5 Star transaction including the online WalMart folks who assisted me with the purchase.

Good. It's what was advertised. I like it. I would recommend it.

The wheel was slightly warped and has a cheap feel to it. There is no weight when you turn it. The things which appear to be some sort of shiny bolts on the hinges in the picture are just chrome inserts.

Arrived Damaged. The safe has a thin coating of nice material, but underneath is cheap. Hollow walls. Though I was buying a solid steal safe.

Anyone considering buying a Mesa safe for HOME use needs to know this: First get a copy of the 1 yr warranty before buying it! You have no recourse or help if out of warranty after the 1 yr. NOT from MESA and NOT from the Vendor! There is no warranties of merchant ability- you can't expect the safe to WORK and open after a year. If you do silly you... No where in the paperwork sent with the safe does it say for the HOME consumer to open your safe frequently within the year while under warranty because if you try to open it 3 months out of warranty the cost of drilling out the safe of about $250.00 is on you if you want to ever see your stuff again. Not to say anything of the $ 400.00 bill to REPLACE THE COMBO LOCK MECHANISM with a BETTER MORE RELIABLE ONE. SO Buyer beware...... Mesa takes no pride in their product lasting more than ONE year, and most vendors don't offer any additional warranty contracts on HIGH ticket items other than their appliances or computers usually.

Safe arrived in a slightly dented and torn box a few days late, however, cursory inspection revealed nothing worrisome. On opening the box, found the safe in a locked condition, dent on the upper left back corner of the safe and after using the combo, the safe was stuck. Discovered the upper hinge weld was broken and the door jammed shut. Good news - returned to Walmart store for refund without any difficulty (although heavy). Overall impression - cheaply made safe, thin steel shell.
