Safe was exactly as ordered. Delivery truck called to schedule delivery, and arrived within time slot. Crew covered safe crate to deliver in the rain, and positioned in my study. They removed all packing material and were very professional. Safe seals well and has solid design. I opted for mechanical combination lock given all the problems with electronic locks. Dial is smooth and opens every time. I anchored the safe to my foundation with 4 bolts in about 30 minutes using hammer drill. For the price, a very competitive safe.

I gave this safe a five star rating, not because it is the best you can buy, but I really think it is the best you can buy for the money. You can read all the specs for yourself on the product page. I bought this just by reading the reviews on it, sight unseen. One of the main reasons I bought this from Sam's Club is the free threshold shipping. All others had curb delivery only unless you wanted to pay extra fee. The delivery men brought it in my house, unpacked it, put it exactly where I wanted it, then put the packing material back in their truck. I got the safe about 26 days after ordering it. The safe arrived in good condition and the combination lock works with no problems. This is a small, no frills safe and it is exactly what I thought I would be getting. No surprises. (don't plan on getting anywhere near 14 long guns in it). I would make a few recommendations to anyone buying a gun safe. 1. Get a larger size than you think you need, if you have the space and can afford it. 2. I don't know anything at all about gun safes and locks but I would recommend that you give some serious consideration to getting one with an electronic lock, just from the ease of use viewpoint. 3. Do a lot of research and buy the biggest and best safe you can afford. :) Very satisfied with every aspect of my purchase.

Purchased this safe for storage. Had it over a year. Purchase to delivery, everything was 100%. They even put it in the bedroom closet I wanted it in. Plus I got it on sale.

We truly feel safe with this purchase. And a great bargain shopped many places before getting this one.

This thing took four movers to get it up 10 stairs. It's heavier than you'd think for a 500 pounder. It's solid too...a huge step up from the Sentry brand safes that you see in the store. This is about as heavy as you can get before moving / delivering a safe starts to get very complicated and quite expensive. If I went for the 650 pound version, I might have run into issues.

Manufacturer drills four holes for anchors, but then only supplies two anchors...DUMB! In each of the four pre-drilled anchor holes were loose nuts. Had to call the mfgr. twice (they didn't return call the first time) to ask about this. They didn't know why the nuts were put there. The anchor holes, drilled through the bottom of the safe, are too small in diameter to accomodate the anchors they send. Mesa Tech Rep said, "just use a larger drill bit when your drilling your anchor holes." This guy isn't a good person to be representing Mesa! Supposedly, this safe can accomodate a dehumidifier. That means there should be a port or hole for an electric wire. The Tech Rep said, "there's a dimple on the rear of the safe that you'll have to drill through to accomodate the plug/wire." This is a SAFE...you're not supposed to be able to drill through it!!! REALLY DUMB! The delivery guys, however, were fantastic! Couldn't be more accomodating and helpful. Kudos to them.
