Mesa Safe Fire Resistant Security Safe with Mechanical Lock, MBF1512C

This came very quickly and was just as described. Amply space inside for documents, jewelry, cameras, or whatever you want. Shelf is adjustable. Combo lock is just what we wanted, just need to practice a couple of times to get used to it. Overall, a great little safe.

A big, heavy duty safe for a great price. Lots of room inside and the shelf is adjustable. The inside is lined along with the shelf. The manual combo lock is factory set and cannot be changed. Tricky the first couple times but then it's no problem. Great looking safe for the house.

Shipped and delivered as promised and on time. Satisfied with purchase. No problems with opening as per instructions. If you are bolting it to the floor better instructions would be nice.

It's a good safe for the money. The price was the lowest I could find for that model. I am completely satisfied.

Reviews showed damage before receipt and couldn't open. Only very minor edge dent in perfect protected shipping box and was able to open repeatedly per instructions. Reviews also showed useless in fire with insufficient info. Haven't tested that yet and don't expect/want to. Also has 4 holes to bolt to floor with 2 expansion bolts and has no battery to die.

I was very satisfied with 12 years old 1.0cf Sentry Safe. After all these years of usage there was no more available space in it and I decided to get a new one 1.5cf. The only one I found looking enough solid with handle and mechanical lock not made from plastic was Mesa Safe MBF1215C. Exterior looks OK, but could be a bit more refined for the price. Mechanical lock wheel turns without creeping, Handle made from steel and feels solid. I read all reviews I could found about 1.5cf safes made by different companies. This one emerged as a clear leader. As usual you can't get anything for free. For this one you have to pay double compared to Sentry Safe 1.5cf with mechanical lock.

Nice safe. Complicated combination process which may be a good thing. Box looked like it had been delivered and returned several times as it was retaped and filty and beaten up. Luckily the styrofoam padding held up. 4 stars

I order the safe and it arrived on time. I helped the Fed Ex driver get it out of the truck and he brought it right yo where I wanted it in my garage. I was putting the safe in my basement and that it where I took it out of the box. The wasn't damaged to the box and I could tell by the styrofoam that it had been rolled around. After cleaning the mess of styrofoam and little beads that had broke all over the place I noticed a 1" mark on top if it. The safe opened without a problem. Being a good combination lock you need to follow the directions for opening. I was disappointed that moisture beads had broken and where a complete mess to clean up from inside the safe. All of the panels needed to be removed. I would rate this a 5 star but i was wasn't happy about the damage and condition of the interior. Safe performs as promised.

I feel better with the storage of important documents in the fire safe. The safe seems pretty secure and works as advertised.
