Mesa Safe MBF2020C Fire Resistant Security Safe with Mechanical Lock, Hammered Grey

It is a far more substantial and weightier safe than cheaper alternatives. Note that the dimensions of the safe published at Walmart.com (22.00"L x 22.00"W x 22.50"H) are incorrect. The depth is not 22" but close to 23.75"... the handle sticks out the front and is not included in the 22" measurement. (A minor difference, but I relied on the 22" measurement in believing it would fit into 23" deep cabinet.) Also, it had zero packing around the safe itself - just the safe within a cardboard box - so it arrived missing some exterior finish (superficial damage) on three corners. Besides those issues, it is a very nice safe; I have no doubt that one look at it would turn away any would-be thieves. The mechanical lock works well and does not feel cheap... I had no problem opening it. Also, it includes bolts that are installed through the bottom interior of the safe; the bolt heads are covered with black clips. Finally, although there is a lip that abuts the entirety of the door (when closed), it wouldn't be entirely waterproof; however, unless submerged not much water will get in. If you have anything you're worried about getting wet, just insert it into a waterproof case (like a Pelican) and you're good to go. I'd buy this again any day over a cheaper, fire and waterproof alternative.
