I'd first like to say I've had this going on 4 months and I've had so much fun with it, If you want something to please family or for yourself, id 100% recommend this device, I've been using VR boxing alot, and I've lost over 14 pound's for exercise id recommend this if you want something that's both fun and healthy
Works amazing. Flawless system really looks beautiful. Kids and I enjoy playing beat saber. An amazing experience. If you have an experience something like this before and virtual reality. The only thing next is to feel and to smell but they’re pretty dang close.
Bought this as a birthday gift for my son a couple weeks ago. He loves it and so far no issues. We live in a cold state with long brutal winters and spend a lot of time indoors due to the negative temps, this will keep him entertained and up and active!
Let me just get this out of the way – the Oculus Quest 2 is the PERFECT gift for any occasion. As compared to the original Quest, this model doesn't need to connect to a computer, allowing it to be very versatile and easy to transport. If your game requires a PC to run, however, Oculus's Link cable is a quick addition for more higher-end gaming. While the headset may feel heavy at first, it becomes very comfortable after a few hours of use, and the straps are easily adjustable to fit snugly around one's head. Likewise, the headset's lens adjustment options ensure the best picture quality, and the graphics are very crisp and clear. The provided setup instructions are minimal, but the accompanying Oculus app makes it very easy to start pairing and using the Quest at home. If your gaming environment doesn't have much space for walking or turning around, many of the Quest's games work well from a stationary position, and the headset has accommodations for seated play. One of my only critiques about the headset comes with its battery life, as only 2-3 hours of gameplay will drain the battery to low levels, but the Quest 2 charges fast enough to resume play quickly. Altogether, the Quest 2 is great for gamers of all levels, and its graphics, processing speed, and versatility set it apart from the original Quest model.
I've had this thing for MAYBE 2 weeks. When I woke up one morning, I plugged it in. 10 minutes after placing it on on charger using the block and the cord that were shipped in the same box with the device , it over heated and burned the charging port as well as all the plastic around it. There is NO customer number to call. Good luck with the emails. They want YOU to jump through hoops of fire. I paid full price for Oculus Quest 2. I could have bought a refurbished one but decided not to. I'm not getting any money back and they say the one I get will probably be refurbished. I have a feeling there will be a class action in the future... the amount of people that had the same complaint were innumerable. These people dont understand, and they don't care either. Oh yeah... I received an email telling me that my device had been shipped. I just got it today, I opened it up and it is only the charging block...nothing else!
While the Meta Quest 2 boasts impressive features on paper, my experience with the device was riddled with frustrations that significantly outweigh its benefits. Here's a breakdown of my major gripes: 1. Mandatory Facebook Integration: Linking your Facebook account to use the headset is a huge turnoff for many, myself included. It feels intrusive and unnecessary, forcing users to hand over personal data to a company known for its privacy violations. 2. Comfort Issues: The stock strap provided is notoriously uncomfortable, causing pressure points and headaches after even short periods of use. Upgrading to a third-party strap adds an extra cost to an already expensive device. 3. Limited Battery Life: Advertised as a wireless VR headset, the Quest 2's battery life barely lasts an hour for active games, severely limiting its potential for extended VR sessions. This is particularly inconvenient for social VR applications or long gaming experiences. 4. Controller Design Issues: The controllers feel cheap and plasticky compared to other VR headsets. The grip buttons are awkward to reach, and the battery compartments are fiddly and frustrating to manage. 5. Lens Fogging: The lenses fog up easily, especially during intense gameplay or in warm environments. This breaks immersion and requires frequent cleaning, further detracting from the overall VR experience. 6. Software Bugs and Glitches: I encountered numerous software bugs and glitches during my time with the Quest 2. These ranged from minor annoyances like menu freezes to game-breaking crashes, further tarnishing the user experience. 7. Limited Game Library: While the Quest 2's game library is growing, it still lacks the depth and variety of other VR platforms. Many popular titles are exclusive to other headsets, leaving Quest 2 users with a limited pool of games to explore. 8. Facebook Account Bans: Numerous users have reported being banned from their Facebook accounts for seemingly unknown reasons, leading to complete loss of access to their Quest 2 and all purchased games. This is a major concern for anyone considering the platform. Conclusion: While the Meta Quest 2 offers some promising features, its numerous shortcomings significantly detract from its overall appeal. The mandatory Facebook integration, uncomfortable design, limited battery life, and software issues make the user experience frustrating and unreliable. Additionally, the controller design, lens fogging, and limited game library further reduce its value proposition. For a truly immersive and enjoyable VR experience, I would strongly advise looking elsewhere.
The item requires pairing with a cell phone to work correctly. I don't particularly trust Facebook to keep my data private, so I was reluctant. In the end, no worries: the headset will not pair with my phone, which Facebook says is a "known problem." Conclusion: don't buy hardware products from a company known for creating divisions designed only to farm you for data. Wait for Apple to make one.
This is very disappointing being peek holiday season is right around the corner. My package is already a day late after making a call and it was rediculous that after being promised that it would be delivered by 8 yesterday, I got a text at 9 pm and again at 10 pm saying it was delayed. HORRIBLE SERVICE!
Dislike both of my deliveries I specifically stated not to leave my package o my porch I have porch pirates and they still did anyway,I selected garage and left the code my second one was set at the end of my garage door closed and he blew the horn a pulled off,and it wasn’t able for pick up at the store.😡😡😡😡my blood pressure was high that week waiting for there garbage delivery service UPS😡😡😡😡😡
I paid $325 dolars for my son as a gift and 30 days later the right controler broke and walmart would not exchange or refund this is horrible i save for months to buy for my son and now i have to save to buy a controller i will never buy electronics from walmart again.
