Metabo HPT 12-In Dual Bevel Compound Miter Saw, C12FDHB

This was a great value for the home hobbyist and occasional wood worker. The power, precision, and smoothness was a great improvement over my last saw! The price was great and I am really liking this new CMS!!

The dual bevel mitre saw does a great job. I really like the light to be able to see where I have marked for the cut. it functions as expected. I've had no issues.

This is my second Metabo tool and I am very happy with both tools!

This isn't a bad buy. My husband loves it!

We used Matabo tools on our jobs and they outlasted all other tools.

Installed this in a miter saw workstation in my woodworking shop. I don't need to cut extremely wide boards. The more compact size compared to sliding saws lets it fit well. It cuts great, and the swing mechanism and detents are smooth. The molding settings are welcome. I do wish I didn't have to reach around the back in a small space to reach the horizontal bevel lever. It has an LED shadow line, not a red cut line as on newer models, but that is ok with me. As with most miter saws, it makes a lot of dust, which I have tried to design the workstation to minimize. The saw's dust chute has an odd connection for any hose or fitting. Maybe it's trying to be able to use a variety of different hose and fitting sizes. I finally got a 2-1/2" hose to fit with a little ingenuity, but much of the dust still flies past the dust chute. And it is loud. Hearing protection required.

Runs great! Used it today. Real smooth. My only complaint is the locking pin that keeps the unit down for storage is VERY hard to release. I need pliers to pull on the pin, even when trying to release pressure on the pin by pushing down slightly on the unit

The Metabo mitre saw was purchased as a replacement for a Dewalt that was only single mitre. Out of the box, it needed quite a bit of adjustment to get the cuts I expect. The handle adjustment at the back of the saw is sloppier than I expected. Otherwise the saw performs well

I bought this to replace an older version of the same saw, it was Hitachi then. Disappointed in the quality out of the box. I had to spend significant time to resquare the blade and fence. It would not cut a true 90 degree angle. Same issue with the bevel, had to readjust the bevel stop to have the blade at a true 90 degree angle with cutting deck .

I like the LED guide but unfortunately the light failed after 11 months of use. It is in the shop now being repaired under warranty. Other than that, it works as expected.
