A bit heavy. But its sturdy, works well. Battery lasts a long time too.
perfect construction tool
Great gun. I've used all the top name ones out there and Metabo HPT can hang with the best of them. Probably going to get a second one cuz it's just that good.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is absolutely the stapler you want for doing LP soffit and other small siding trim, as well as other uses. Relative to my pneumatic staplers, this thing practically never bends staples. Upside down, high in the air, who wants a air hose pulling on you? This stapler is the one.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had this crown stapler for about 6 months now and life happened so I'm just not getting around to reviewing it. For on site work this stapler is the go-to! It is a bit heavy compared to my pneumatic stapler but we know this. After 6 months of roughly 20 hours per week the gun hasn't misfired once!!
I purchased this six months ago as part of a larger move away from air tools in my shop. It performs exceptionally in a production environment primarily working with hardwoods and 1 3/4 staples. Has plenty of power and battery life with the 2ah battery in the kit. The tool itself is well balanced which is a distinct advantage over some similar products which (dewalt, Bosch) which tend to be top heavy in my experience.
Very happy with the performance of this stapler bought it to install soffit and T&G. it has a belt hook which comes in handy and has adequate power and is reasonably light. finally Metabo has a nail gun without a on off switch ( who would have thought!)
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This review is for the 18-GA 1-1/2" NARROW CROWN STAPLER kit (N1804DB) WHAT I LIKE ABOUT IT: (1) It's a very good price. I'm not going to list the price, because its always changing depending upon when you're reading this, but it's a terrific value in its category. That would be true at bare tool, but it also comes with a battery and charger. (2) It's robust. This thing is built tough. It feels solid everywhere you put your hand. I've been especially impressed with how sturdy the magazine is. It's noticeably better than any other I've tried anywhere near this price point. (3) It has good accuracy. Not much to say. It puts the staple where you think it should be. (4) It has good general features at this price point (i.e. trigger lock, empty magazine indicator, lights, decent capacity, good ergonomics overall). (5) The placement of and the amount of rubber over mold. This gun has nice and thick rubber bumpers and over mold to keep from damaging your work surface. (6) Last, but NOT LEAST, is the depth adjustment. It's easy to access, smooth in operation and truly functional. PLEASE bring something like this to the other cordless staplers/nailers! WHAT I DON'T LIKE ABOUT IT: (1) It's very heavy. With 12v models and compact 18/20v models of other brands available out there that are much lighter, many people are not going to be happy with the weight if they have to use it on a regular basis. (2) There's no bump/multi fire feature. I'm not too upset about this, because of the price point. You can just upgrade to the higher-end Metabo-HPT stapler if you want a bump feature. (3) The number of staples you can shoot on one battery is a little on the low side if your a pro or handyman, but most people will be very happy with it. (4) There's no lock-out feature if you're out of staples. It just keep shooting blanks and you don't even know it's happening. SUMMARY: I think this is a VERY good staple gun for the DIYer, prosumer, and pro on a budget. I think that pro's should upgrade to the next level up in Metabo-HPT. You will likely be unsatisfied with this stapler and it's brad nailer partner if you're used to other cordless nailers/staplers. HOWEVER, if you're a DIYer, this thing is terrific! I really mean that. How they're able to put it on sale at such a good price is beyond me, but I'm glad they are. This and the brad nailer like it, need to get into the hands of more home owners/DIYer's/prosumers.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] very powerful and consistent depth of drive, even into hardwoods such as 1-1/2" staples into white oak. but far heavier than the brushless version. however at this price point I would definitely recommend it for situations where the weight isn't a big issue. I purchased it to do soffit so the weight was a killer for overhead work.
I have to say that the Battery Operated Stapler works great with soft wood. When it comes to multi layers of birch plywood and red oak, the power isn't there. Staples are not set completely. I have to hammer them in the last 1/8". When I work with Pine and cedar the tool is FANTASTIC!!!
