I had the previous model and loved it. I wanted a second to leave somewhere else so i purchased the new model. As good as the previous was, this is twice as good. More torch by far. It powers through several layers of OSB like butter. Easy to see sight lines and a great rafter hook. My only complaint is that for the price, I think it could come with the rip guide. I purchased it separately.
Great cordless saw. Plenty of power for cutting anything from 2 x materials to plywood. Comfortable and well balanced.
She's a beast! It was as impressive as the 30° framing nailer I bought I've been replacing all my other tools with Metabo ones!
Bought thes about 18 months ago. No problems. Good quality and price. I now have Metabo circular saw, 2” 18 gauge brad nailer, sub compact drill driver and impact wrench combo. All use Sam batteries ( multi volt ). Would definitely recommend these products and brand. Formerly Hitachi.
I've been using this saw at work for several months now. This was my first step into the 36v line, and it has not disappointed. It cuts through treated lumber no problem, and I've even thrown a concrete blade on it for relief cuts and cutting cinder block, and it barely flinched. I've also noticed you don't really get the half battery life that you'd think going from 18v to 36v. It's like it runs on 18v for light tasks, sipping on battery life, but digs into the 36v only when you push it. The rafter hook is a little awkward at first, but the way it positively grabs any 2x lumber i trust way more than other hooks up on trusses/rafters, so its grown on me.
Had an 18v before I bought this it worked good but this saw puts it and many corded saws to shame the power it delivers is crazy no bog on full depth cut through 4x4s
I've had this saw for 5 years, it hasn't let me down, angle and depth adjustments are quick and stable, powerful for it's size and quiet, quick brake after cut, I really love it , however like all the 36 MV tools that I have, it is seriously hurt by the 8ahs batteries that no longer charge, and now the chargers are failing as well. I'm down to one Metabo HPT 4ahs battery that's holding on and some crappy knock off batteries, as the official batteries are absurdly overpriced. It's a real shame because otherwise I am a total fan.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] i bought this 7years ago and when it break i buy a newer i am very sathisfied of this product the saw is very strong i love it
I was nothing but impressed with this saw upon looking it over for the first time. But was disappointed when I inserted a fully charged 36v Metabo HPT battery into it, and nothing happened upon pulling the trigger. I immediately requested a replacement. The second saw last one day of light use, before it abruptly stopped working. I sent the second saw back for a refund, and will just continue using my older model Metabo HPT saw which has survived being used for construction for 3 years, and survived a few 8' + falls
This saw has a hesitation ramp up when hitting the trigger, lacks a bit of power compared to other brands and turns out the deck of the saw is made out of very cheap fragile material if you ever drop this saw even from low height you will most likely have to replace it, another flaw is the bevel lever is a tiny piece of cheap plastic very poorly designed
