I bought this drill because neither my 2 speed corded 1/2” or my other cordless 18v 1/2” drills were keeping up with the big augers and 3” forstner bits I was using on a timber frame project. This drill had no problem. I wouldn't subject it to the 3” forstner all day long but to hog out a few mortises once in a while it seemed to have no hesitation. My guys were also raving about it while drilling 3/4” bolt holes through 4ply 2x12's plus 10x10 Fir in one go. It's a good thing it has such a huge side handle and kickback limiting because otherwise it would be a wrist breaker. The kit batteries are a little small for that kind of work. I got the bigger one with a promotion when I bought the triple hammer impact which I also love. It's a heavy drill but I didn't buy it to be agile. There are smaller drills for that.
I ended up with more power from a 1/2 inch drill than I have ever experienced! The ergonomics are great, as well as the power and ability for that power to be controlled. For the money, I'm sure it can't be beat! The battery life from full charge to near death is a long time. The tool is a bit heavy, but for the extra power it is well worth it! I would recommend this drill to my friends!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a journeyman machinist and a union electrician this drill with the multi volt batteries has worked for me consistently in any type of conditions. The batteries are deliver enough wattage to power even my portable Starlink system. The batteries also power my other Metabo portable lights and drills.
Lot of torque, reliable, lot of power, and very visible at a jobsite. My go to hammer drill and the 4amp 36v battery would last a long time. One of the most ergonomic drill I've ever used and owned.
This is one of the best Drill in the Market, I highly recommend it.
I moved to Metabo HPT at the end of 23' and I've been very happy with every tool so far. This is no exception. All the power needed for framing and timber framing. This thing is built like a tank. I love it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had this for about a year and it works flawlessly Lots of power
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This big guy has all the power you need. Two speeds make it versatile. I bought a second one on clearance and now I'm even more productive.
Bought this hammer drill back in 2021. It's been pretty solid. Lots of power, maybe a little too powerful. If you're not careful it'll break your wrist.
