Metabo HPT 36V Cordless Hammer Drill, SDS Plus, DH3628DAQ4

After a bit of research, I decided to purchase this rotary hammer after catching it on sale. So far, this tool has been a great purchase and has even exceeded my expectations. There are some unique features on this tool that I have not seen on any other brand. The first feature that I didn't think would be useful but actually was is the LED leveling. I used this feature when installing lag bolts into concrete block for mounting a post. This feature uses an LED light on the side of the tool that flashes green when it's near straight and stays solid when it's straight. The vibration reduction is also very good at reducing the wrist and hand numbness you get when chipping with tools without this. This tool also features an auto-stop drilling mode that is good for repetitive tasks like drilling holes for tapcons. This tool also has overload/bind protection so your wrist doesn't get twisted in the event the bit binds up. Overall, I would highly recommend this rotary hammer if you're looking into getting one. It being a part of the 36v line of tools also means you can run it corded or cordless. This tool is a good buy!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had this rotary hammer for a little over a month now and am thoroughly enjoying using it. Had a job last week that needed dozens of 1/2” sleeve anchors and this hammer handled it all with ease. The vibration reduction is noticeable and makes a big difference preventing fatigue in your forearm by the end of the day. I also really like the built in LED Level that shows you when the drill is level before punching your hole in the wall. Overall a great tool to use and am happy to have it in the arsenal!

I'm a Contractor that self performs most trades. And my crew has already worked this thing extremely hard! Demoing, drilling, etc. it's a beast! But my favorite thing about it, is how well it absorbs the vibrations… super smooth, nice tool!
