How light and the amount of cuts you get from one battery is a plus. The handling ergonomics and overall balance is great with this saw. Plenty of power for anything I have encountered so far.
Is a light and powerful saw, very manually, easy to use, battery last longer than other saws that I have.
This saw checks all the boxes for me: light weight, super power, a snagless blade-guard, a fast blade-brake, low noise, high build-quality, a fair price (great value), that handsome Hitachi color-scheme, and more. And while some folks complain that there's no onboard storage for the wrench, there are other convenient places: (1) inside the saw's carry-bag and (2) where you store your replacement blades.
This is the greatest table saw on the market. I usually say the Dewalt table saw is the one to compare all others and this one has essentially the exact same features along with the ability to run cordless with as much or more power as well as the option to plug in if needed. Very nice saw.
This saw has the weight of a toy, yet it's got power. I looked at a lot of reviews and I settled on this one since I've had bad tennis elbow from driving tons of scews and I'm 57yo. I'm a DIY guy who plans to build a garage and perhaps a house when I retire.
Out of all the tools I have this is probably the best one I've bought. I had a brand new DeWalt rear handle cordless saw for about a month. When this came out I snagged one ,after I seen what the weight was. The DeWalt was way too heavy for my torn rotor cuff. This thing has plenty of power & doesn't weigh very much. I have several other metabo tools and their batteries last a long time.
I bought this saw to keep at my sawmill, for trimming boards and slabs as they come off the mill. It is demanding duty for a saw. I have a Dewalt 20v brushless 7¼" that just wasn't up to the task. The Metabo works awesome! Lots of power, even when the blade gets pinched, which is common in this use, it keeps cutting. It is also very light for a rear handle. I picked up the Milwaukee 18v rear handle saw after using the Metabo. It is much heavier and I don't like the feel of it. Also the battery life of the 36 volt batteries is really good, I used the saw for two, 5 hour sessions at the mill and it still had 3 of 4 bars on the charge indicator. I'm very happy with this saw!
This is a great saw. The saw hook is well thought out. This saw has plenty of power, it'll rip 2x material with no problem just don't expect the moon and stars because cordless regardless of the brand isn't in its comfort zone in regards to ripping 2x. It's light, dang its so light. It's far more better balanced than the Makita dual 18v. It's got a very planted feel if you cut your miters while looking over the cut. Best sight window out there, but I've only used the Skil worm drive and the Makita...it crushes the Makita. Absolutely love having this up cutting in roof. I think this saw has multiple "best out there" features. Only miss they made was the saw depth lock, it's a bit longer than it needs to be, hasn't got in the way yet, but I'll pull one off a Skil or just grind it some because atheistically it bothers me.
Works great light enough to lug around with no issue. On board rafter hook is small doesn't get in the way while in use. Along withe 8 Amp battery I've been able to use it all day never lacking power to preform cuts or bevels. Lastly the rear handle design makes for easy use and comfortable to use.
Still haven't gotten my saw back from repair. It's been in metabos repair since June 12th. I get tool repair turnaround but the 5 day promise should be taken off all the paperwork. I love the saw just wish it was back in my hands.
