Metabo HPT 4-1/2-In Angle Grinder Tool, 6.2-Amp, G12SR4

I bought this to cut and grind concrete on my sidewalk and driveway to make repairs . I purchased a diamond blade and a grinder wheel and item worked as expected. It has saved me a lot of money. Maybe get be useful to me for other projects in the future.

I needed an angle grinder for sharpening my mower blades. The Metabo HPT 4-1/2" was a great purchase! I've dealt with Metabo tools before so I didn't feel I could go wrong with this tool. I was right! I am more than pleased with my choice! It has proven to be a great tool for my needs! There is no down side to these Metabo tools.

This is the first angle grinder I've owned. but I've used many. This is intended for home shop use and I am not making a living off this tool. That said, in it's first use, it showed a very nice stability That sometimes was lacking from the more expensive grinders I've used in the past. No excess vibration and very easy to handle. Having the front handle reversible made it easy to change the orientation of how I was using the tool in relation to the work. A good feel, stable and aggressive. It handled the work easily and I felt no fatigue when I was finished. One of the check points is "Durability". I wish I could answer that but it takes a good year of putting a tool through it's paces to find out if it holds up or not. But I'm optimistic about this one. One final thought; I appreciated that the request for this review came three weeks after I received the tool. It gave me the change to work with it and get the feel of the tool. So, Thank you for your patience. I hope this review helps someone else considering this grinder see that it is a good investment.

This angle grinder is nice. I like the case and 5 grinding wheels that come with the grinder. The instructions are clear for a first time user. I've already used it to sharpen a lawn mower blade and an adze. Price is great for what I am going to use it for.

I purchased a grinder (was not a Hitachi) and the first time I used it, it caught fire. I took it back and upgraded to the Hitachi G12SR4 6.2-Amp, 4-1/2" Angle Grinder. Best move I ever made. The Hitachi G12SR4 6.2-Amp, 4-1/2" Angle Grinder has performed excellently and has handled any task I ask it to performed. And it didn't catch fire...... Great Grinder.
