Customer Insights: Rated 4.7/5 from 365 reviews.
This compressor has worked great for general shop use and running pneumatic tools (nail guns, ratchets, etc). Other reviews had described it as loud, but I find that to be way off the mark. All compressors make noise. I actually found this one to be less noisy than most. The tank fills rapidly. All seals have held up perfectly. Pressure has been as advertised.
Purchased Metabo The Tank for home & auto DYI projects. Great air compressor. Quality build. I did a lot of research before buying it. Offered much higher capacity at lower price than other 6 gallon pancake models. Quieter than a lot of other pancake units too. Great unit.
It is definitely built like a tank for sure. Its a little heavier than other pancake compressors but thats only because its built right. You can run nail guns all day long with no issues. I recently put it to the test using it to paint kitchen cabinets with a HVLP gun and it has no problems keeping up. Best compressor out there without a doubt.
The compressor worked flawlesly although on the 3rd day of using it the red control knob on the front that controls the oressure broke and I had to use a pair of vicegrips to control the air pressure going to the nailer. Otherwise the compressor worked fine keeping the pressure where it was set at.
This compressor does everything for me and more if need be with a second nailer, no problem keeping up with my Bostitch stick nailer for framing and I'm confident that the next roof I shingle with 2 nailers won't be an. I'm kinda curious about other reviews regarding noise levels, I found it to be a non issue. Overall I'm happy with this purchase and would highly recommend, thank you
Exactly what I was looking for. Having to put 110 lbs psi in RV tires requires enough capacity to sustain the required pressure. This product does that. You can tell and see that it's well made. No short cuts. Just a great compressor. Not just for typical around the house use. But also more than capable to handle heavy duty needs!
Professional trim carpenter here: I love the higher PSI this compressor offers because even shooting my 18ga nailer many times, the compressor doesn't kick on often. No one likes listening to a compressor. This one isn't bad to listen to but it does run less and that's worth a lot inside a finished house! I also appreciate the compressor blow off valve when the compressor shuts off to help prevent damage to the gaskets and pistons from back pressure once the tank valve closes
Well made product! Although manufactured off shore this compressor is of high quality and well engineered in my opinion. I had left the filled with air for a two plus weeks with electricity turned off. Tank was still full. My other two compressors can't do that.
Does what I bought it for (I mostly use mine with a Brad Nailer.) It will drive some other air tools (up to 4CFM - check your air tool specs) but that not what it is designed to do. This model, like most other air compressors, is LOUD (wear hearing protection.) It's also a bit heavy (I put mine on a 4 wheel dolly so I can wheel it around the shop for use, then roll it away to storage.)
Started using my new compressor for finishing work. So far works great!! Like the fact that there is a separate gauge for regulated output pressure. The unit is also much quieter than what I had before and weight wise/size wise easy to move around to jobs.
