Metabo HPT 7-In Angle Grinder Power Tool, 15-Amp, G18ST

A powerful heavy duty tool built to hog off and shape metal, sporting a satisfying heft that helps with the task.

Purchased because of the good reputation that these grinders have had. Needed something with a bit more power than the 4" I had and this fit the need perfectly without being over priced. I had a manufacturing business for 20 years and tried all sorts of grinders for my guys and this model always held up as well as the red ones and were always better than the yellow. So when it came time to purchase on for my retirement use I chose the Metabo as it hit a price point that provided maximum value for me. Use it for metal fabrication hobby and part time business in SW lower Michigan.

I was surprised at the torque and power of this tool. When you start it, hold on, it amazed me at the power it has. I used it with a cut off wheel and it cut very quickly. I haven't had it very long, but it feels like it is well built and should hold up very well.

Bought a Hitachi leaf blower two years ago it is the best I have ever had still starts the first pull . So I bought a G18ST Angel 7 inch angle grinder would not sell it for twice the money I have for it. IT IS GREAT

Excellent power, cooling air pushes water and dust away from the shaft. Doesn't slow down on concrete.

I'm very impressed used it on concrete patio did better than the stand up one

Good solid tool. A bit heavy 10+ lbs; that's the tradeoff between durability and comfort.
