This saw is compact and light weight. great for the quick jobs.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So I had this beast of a stump in my yard and decided to go at it with the Metabo reciprocating saw. This thing's a beast. It just ate through those roots. Way less shaky than I expected, which was great 'cause hacking at a stump is tiring enough. Swapping blades was super quick too. No saw makes stump removal fun, but this Metabo made it way less of a headache. It felt solid and powerful, like it could handle anything I threw at it. Very happy with the results.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Been using it as an electrician for a while and very happy with the performance and battery life
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Use this a lot. Precise and stable, little vibration.
I picked one of these saws up a while ago because I had to make some notches in studs of a remodel job and this saw fits in a standard 14-1/2” stud bay. Even with a larger 5.0ah battery. The stroke in very short so it's best for light duty cuts. It's great for cutting pvc pipe and some light demo work. A bigger saw will be faster and more efficient but if you've only gotta make a few cuts, this one is very light and easy to use one handed. Though I haven't tried, I could see this saw being great for pruning too with the right blade. The ability to use jigsaw blades is neat. Jig saw blades for wood are usually very sharp and can help this little saw cut more efficiently even with its short stroke.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This new Metabo Compact cordless reciprocating saw is downright handy and powerful. We have been using this compact saw to get into harder to reach areas on our jobsites. The lightness of this tool also helps us as we can use this above our heads with ease. This saw definitely cuts fast! The LED light makes working In low light areas very easy. The compact size with the full-size power gives us more room in our tool storage for other tools. One of my favorite features of this reciprocating saw is it does not vibrate anywhere near competitors reciprocating saw we own. We have used this saw on our current barndominium build and it handles everything, from cutting plumbing pipes, to cutting braces and everything in between. This tool feels really sturdy and tough and with the lifetime tool warranty I really think this tool is going to be with us for a long time.
I abought this to saw some floor joists I was repairing. My first time using such a tool. The quick-change of the blade was one of my reasons for purchasing.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I put this little saw to the test on a huge deck job and it came in very handy for all the hard to reach and tight cutting jobs that my bigger saws can't reach. It worked great. We used it with the 18v and 36v batteries and was very easy to maneuver with the compact design. Plenty of power and very lightweight. It's earned a permanent spot in my deck building tool lineup.
When the CR36DA is just too big and the CR18DA is just too... uh, CR18DAish (pretty much always), the CR18DMA is just right. As much as I enjoy(ed) using Godzilla, I almost always reach for the DMA now. It would get six stars but it's lacking the oscillating feature. It's just the right size, plenty of power using 8Ah multivolt battery (I rarely pull out 18v batteries since I pack both recip saws for most jobs although I did use an old 3Ah battery to extricate the front pipe from a 97 Camry, on jack stands the DMA was the right tool, I split the flanges cutting 3 of 4 bolts as no cutting disc for grinder). I use a yellow compact recip at work, which is also a fairly good tool, but vibration? The green tool wins hands down. Really happy to have the DMA, I'm using it a lot; catching up to the amount of use on my 36v DA quickly.
Bonus one of the few companies that has the option to make the tool corded.
