It is light, thin profile, and mounts directly to the surface so you do not need to worry about any complicated install or plenum clearance. We mounted this in our mechanical storage room, above the work bench and it works great!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I first opened the box, I was not impressed with the quality of materials used for this product. The bulb almost feels like a piece of plastic and to me just has a cheap look about it. The main portion of the fixture is fine. The fixture is a bright solid white color, which I do like for that clean look in my kitchen above the sink. As stated before my first impression was not good, but I do have recessed lighting from this company that I love. The product was installed and I am happy to say that there is excellent lighting, and the initial “plastic” concern is no longer an issue. By following the instructions included in the box, installation was not an issue. Because this is a new installation, I cannot comment the longevity of this product. I can say that the other lighting, that is in my kitchen, from this company has been excellent since installation over a year and a half ago.
