I wanted a themometer that was easy to operate and gave a quick reading. This device you have to continously swipe across forehead until the alloted time to get a reading. The ease if use is not there

I took my temp with a normal mouth thermometer and also tried with my daughter and the thermal one was several degrees higher than the oral thermometer. I don't think it is calibrated properly. Bummed that I have to return it.

I got two days of frustrating use out of it before it started glitching out. 3 of us started feeling sick yesterday. I got to use this thermometer for the first time. I always take the temperature 2 or more times to make sure it's accurate. With this thermometer, the readings were wildly different every time despite using the device according to the instructions. A head scan showed 100.1 the first time, 99.0 the 2nd time, and 101.4 the 3rd time. An ear scan showed a range of 98.6-101.7. I realized that with the ear, the reading you get depends on the *precise* angle it's sitting and aiming at inside the ear – barely budging the thermometer by a millimeter can get you a whole degree of difference. I had to take all of our temperatures several times every time, both on the forehead and in the ear, in order to get a general idea of what our actual temperature might be.

After using only 3 times since purchase it no longer gives an accurate reading. Replaced the batteries to see if that's the problem and still showing 86 degrees when my daughter has a fever!

The batteries that were sent with it were dead. Had to go out and buy new batteries to get it to turn on. Not a good start. doesn't work but about 50%of the time. Save your money and get a better one
