Metered Lunge Line 20m

I finally decided that it was time for a new lunge line my old one was falling apart and it broke and I tied it back together. I have been wanting a metered lunge line for a long time. So I was very excited when it came the quality seems good, I don't do a lot of lunging so I expect this one to last a long time. I do like I can now lunge Fagan on a proper 20m circle or smaller.

Dressage trainer's dream is right - no more guessing if my circles and figures are the correct size when training my horse on the lunge! Just be sure to wear gloves in case your horse has a sudden "energy burst" so the web material won't burn your hands.

When I purchased this item I didn't particularly care about the meter markings. I just needed a good cotton lunge line and this one seemed as good as any other. I figured the tri-coloring would at least differentiate it from the 50 other lunge lines at our barn. Two weeks after I started using it, I was surprised at how often I checked the measured size of my circles. The markings help my horse to keep a consistent circle and help me keep him on that circle. Whether you're lunging for training or just to get the spring energy under control, this lunge line is a must.

the buckle is to large to fit through a few of my bits and all of my pony stuff. webbing is very light weight but it is constructed well and the meter feature is handy. I prefer a heavier line personally but this will remain in my tack box

I have only used the lunge twice now since purchase. It isn't as heavy duty as others I've used, but the hardware is solid and the stitching appears durable. The meter markers are clear and useful.

I like this lunge line's different colors for the different size circles and also the single snap. Its hard to find one that isn't swiveling or double jointed. It's a little too lightweight though--would be better if it were a slightly heavier material.

I bought this lunge line because I needed one and the arena I was using did not have letters/measurements. This is a great buy because it does tell you what is a 10m, 15m, and 20m circle is. I am not crazy about the material. It doesn't seem all that strong, but I haven't had trouble with it yet and I have been using it for a few months now. The colors are an added bonus because you do not have to look for the tag that states what diameter the circle is, even though there are tags for each diameter. In the end, I would purchase this again. Good price, good idea.

I really like the metered lunge line part, but I found this lunge line very hard to hold. The actual line is very thin and flaps. The material easily slips through your fingers. I find myself having to adjust the line in my hand, which is annoying when you are trying to train your horse. It works and it is very good quality, though my horse is not very strong on the lunge line.

While I love the color change and the hardware on this line, the weight of the cotton is way too light and flimsy! I find it easily windblown, both compromising the communication with my horse and easily getting tangled in my hand and around my whip. I find it distracting and somewhat dangerous when working with green horses.

The concept is excellent, but the actual line is not meant for a 1000-1500lb. animal. Luckily, I knew to use the line in a fenced in area due to the lightweight material. If you have a horse who is not a perfect saint on the lunge line, this product is not for you. I will stick to the heavier lines and guess the size of the circle.
