Definitely a snow proof option for those in the market. The jacket is lightweight but insulated. A great layering piece for outdoor adventures. In 20 degrees with snowfall, our son was comfy and warm enough with this as a 2nd layer. It whisked away rain and snow easily. I would order a size up in case your child is taller for his age group. But again, that's a tough variable to gauge. We had to return his true size and go up in size. We're glad we did bc the jacket is a good quality and great price for what you're getting. There's a variety of color options too.

I am very impressed. The lining inside makes it warm and this is a nice heavy duty rain coat. This will be too hot for Texas summer rainy days, but it will be perfect for Spring and Fall. I bought it big to fit our son for two years and I think it will work. This is high enough quality to last through our ranch work. We are hard on coats.

I found this jacket of perfect quality if you look for a rain jacket that also provides warmth on those cooler rainy fall days. I did return it because my son didn't like the pattern as much and I ordered it without asking him. But that doesn't make this jacket of less quality

It's got a compass on the arm! It's super soft inside! The hood is removable! It's zips and has velcro very nice for rain or wet thick snow flakes

this raincoat is awesome. my grandson loves it. the colors are vibrant and it is indeed waterproof. hood and all kept him perfectly dry.

This is a great jacket. I wanted to replace my grandson's yellow rain jacket that he was out growing. This jacket works great. The only problem I have is that it is heavier than I thought. I is great for those cold fall mornings
