I like the weighted design better than the tripod type because it seems more sturdy and takes up less room. Quickly goes together, don't forget to get a mic clip. The adjustable height works great for all of our family members

Music Adjustable Height Studio Microphone Stand with Weighted Base is a fantastic mic stand. It's easily adjustable in regards to height and angle, so it's extremely versatile in its usage. The weighted base makes it feel very secure, but it still manages to be pretty lightweight. I had never heard of this brand previously, but now I'm interested in what else they have to offer! I highly recommend this stand!

The weighted base allows the stand to stay in place vs. those other cross-base stands. While the base is weighted it is not very busy and is easily transported. The stand is also stable and is made of quality material and should last a long time.

They have a nice quality feel to them and some decent weight for heavier microphones. These mics stands are much higher in quality compared to other brands. The hand-grip clutch is a wonderful feature. This product is so impressive. Super happy and satisfied. The black color is classy. I highly recommend it!

The clip-on cable is great because it keeps the wires clean. We just had to figure out how to attach the mic at first because it does not come with an instructions but otherwise it is a good mic stand.
