I was initially reluctant to give this album a try after I had read many, many bad reviews. The nay-sayers make this album sound like a frankensteinish pieced together botch job, but after reading some of the better reviews I decided to buy it. GLAD I DID!!! At the time of this writing I have just finished listening to "Michael" for the first time and I must say that I am extremely impressed by the outstanding quality of every single song :-) There simply isn't a weak track here. I've read that Michael Jackson was a perfectionist about his music and though he recorded a lot, many songs didn't get an A+ from him and thus were left unreleased. This album just shows that maybe he was a little too critical of his own music, as these "leftovers" are far superior to the very best work of most other current recording artists. I really enjoy MJ's post 1990 albums: "Dangerous", "Blood On The Dance Floor", "History", & "Invincible" and the music on this album is very similar to those albums; generally a mix of hard funk and gentle, beautiful ballads. The sound quality/production is every bit as good as any of these albums as well. To my ears this CD is a much better album than "Invincible" and I give that album 5 stars!! To anyone who is hesitant about buying this "new" album, I strongly recommend IGNORING the negative reviews, spending the mere $10 and giving it a spin for yourself. I certainly hope there is more of Michael's unreleased music waiting to be issued in the years to come if it is as GREAT as this sample is. To me "Michael" is First Rate and I'd like to give special thanks all those who helped bring these songs to the light of day where they belong!! Enjoy & God bless!!

I love this album. Not sure why all the controversy as this is definitely all Michael. My favorite is Monster and Much too soon.

This CD is excellent all of the songs are incredible

It always seems to "kills me" (No Pun) that we get new albums after death and nothing prior but this one was pretty good it's more of a throw back style of Michael. If you are a fan of any level you will enjoy this album.

Classic mj sound to this album. Although the album did not have his blessing for release, all tracks where worked on by mj to some degree. The songs are catchy, mj sounds great, and It's great to have new mj music.

The CD wasn't at all what I expected. It's ok...more easy listening compared to his normal CDs. Personally I found the "This Is It" CD a much better track of songs and well worth the money. But for the cost of the CD I can't complain. But had I heard it prior I probably wouldn't have bought it.

Not a number one song on the list ! RIP OFF !
