Michael Jackson's This Is It (Blu-ray)

I absolutely loved this movie! Very entertaining! I made several friends, who said they had no desire to see it, watch this with me and they absolutely loved it. They said it wasn't at all what they expected. I have seen it so many times and I can't wait to watch it again. So glad I bought this! I also bought another one to send to my son. He's going to love it as well!

FIRST SAW THIS IN THEATERS AND WAS HOOKED. PERFECT FOR ANY MICHAEL JACKSON FAN AND FOR THOSE WHO AREN'T IT WILL MAKE YOU APPRECIATE THE KING HE WAS THE DVD IS AWESOME AND PERFECT FOR A COLLECTOR OR JUST ANYONE WHO WANTS A MUSIC THRILLER!!!

Have not been a Micheal Jackson fan recently and I am very impressed with the documentary. I liked it so much that this is my first movie that I have bought on Blue Ray. The sound quality is great, you don't need to turn the volume all the way up to hear it.

I loved this movie so much since I saw in the theater, that I could not wait for it to come out in DVD. I have just purchased a blu ray player and while watching this movie you actually feel as if you are there. This shows Michael was the best music artist ever when it came to his concerts and music videos. I feel anyone who loves music will love this movie.

Even if your not a Michael Jackson fan, most agree he changed the music world and influenced the culture of America and the world. The video is really a one of a kind that in my opinion proves Michael was in relatively good shape before his death, or he couldn't have possibly have kept up the pace otherwise. It is also a rare look into his work ethic, talent and why so many close to him indicated he was a kind person. I never met him so I can't say but it appears he was if I just had the video to go on. No one ever envisioned the video would be put together and released. It is a rare event put together after the fact. It is amazing to see behind closed doors all the effort that goes into a live performance tour. The music takes you back through the songs and times of his career. The quality is great although you will notice some grain in several sequences, however this should be expected as much of the video was with inadequate lighting for the practice sessions. You will not be disappointed, the music and sound is great!

Being a huge MJ fan all my life as like most people i was shocked and very upset about MJ's Death. I decided that i was not going to watch this movie in the Cinema as i was unsure how it would go over. I knew that i would wait until it came out on Blu Ray DVD as i wanted to watch it on my 65" HDTV and blu ray player. WOW it was without a doubt WELL WORTH WAITING FOR! I read a lot of reviews of people saying that 'you saw him in a different light and that he has not lost IT either' and boy was this amazing! First of all lets talk about the picture quality, i am a bit of a tech freak i love big TV's and loud music BUT it must be clean and crisp. I HAVE NEVER SEEN PICTURE QUALITY LIKE THIS, EVER!!!! Every time i watch it im totally blow away with the picture quality to an extent that i have to keep on pausing it to tell my wife how amazed i am. I think she get it by now, especially on a 65" HDTV its nothing short of remarkable! Then the sound quality! Im lucky enough to have a phenomenal sound system which explodes into action when turned up load, the sound quality on this is like something i've never heard before, the bass is so responsive, clean and crisp. The music is heard in ways i've never experienced before. You hear people saying its like you are there and it really is!! Then the movies itself, as i said i have always been a big MJ fan. However i have never seen him in this light before, the guy really was truly gifted and boy does this come across in this movie. The way the cameras caught his thought process was in a way that you could see into his mind. I cant put into words just how amazing this is. Would i recommend this... without a doubt, its one of the most amazing things i have ever seen in my life. I know thats sounds strange but trust me you wont be disappointed!! Michael is and was a truly gifted Genius!!

I loved this blue ray! Picture quality was excellent. Sound quality was great! I felt like I was there with them. This blue ray was better to see than the movie at the theater. I should note that I do have a 55" lcd (also purchased at walmart) and this helped the blue ray to look larger than life to me. You will not be disappointed with it at all. I even got a dvd for my girlfriend at work, and she loved it too! This is something that is part of our musical history, and I will watch it many times!!

This blu-ray was purchased for my wife, but we both enjoyed it very much. I have never been a Michael Jackson fan; pop music just isn't my thing generally. Having said that, the behind the scenes documentary cut through all the tabloid garbage you see in the media, and I gained a true appreciation for his genius and heart, even if he was strange and a little naive. As a musician myself, the level of writing, arranging, performance, and production were absolutely first class. Too bad the tour never happened.

I've seen better footage and dancing in his music videos compared to this disc set. We really see no "signature new moves" by MJ. Even his patented "moonwalk" was weak. I think he was going to rely more on technical innovations and special effects. His voice was the best part of the video, still strong filled with life, and yet something was missing. This is a two disc set..and the second disc concentrated on the dancers of the show, and in this writers opinion, a waste of what could have have been a review of MJ's career. After all we want to see MJ not other artists.
