Michelina's Chicken Fried Rice Meal 9.6oz (Frozen Dinner)

I had this for the first time last night and I was really pleasantly surprised! lots of tasty and tender ingredients and a great calorie count. I will be ordering several more of these in the near future. give it a try and you absolutely will not be disappointed on any level. EARL

Michelina's Chicken Fried Rice is one of those frozen dinners that quietly gets you through the workweek without draining your wallet or your will to live. I especially love their fried rice meals — they're the dependable cousins of Banquet, always ready to step in when you're saving your splurge money for the weekend. It heats up evenly and quickly, which is a miracle in microwave land. Once it's done, I pop it into a bowl like I'm plating a five‑star meal, add dinner rolls, butter, and a glass of milk, juice, or soda, and suddenly it feels like a tiny weekday feast. The taste is surprisingly good for the price — comforting, flavorful, and exactly what you want when you're hungry and not in the mood to cook. A budget hero that keeps you fed until Friday night fun begins.

The brand was recommended by a dietician. They are economical and delicious. You could easily add some extra chicken and veggies to this one. I usually add a little oyster sauce or yum yum sauce. Just drink extra water if it's an issue. Frozen meals tend to have a good bit of sodium but less than meals in restaurants.

From the photo and the price, I thought this would be dreadful. Well, as it was, I soaked the cube of rice and put the cube on a ceramic dish and baked it for 40 minutes. It was more authentic, being short grain, than the long grain rice we get in America. Put an egg on the bottom of the pan or dish, a few drops of fish or lobster sauce, and you have fried rice at an astounding price.

Michelina's produces the best frozen food entrees . No sooner than when I accepted the Walmart drivers (SPARKS) order at the door, I popped the chicken fried rice into the Microwave as nd in 4.5 min later I was taking it to the table to eat. Chicken had no gristle, or ham disguised as chicken, and it wasn't filled with sodium. As a side note, this also goes well with orange marmalade and chicken nuggets. It was a great accompaniment to my meal!

This is fried rice with chicken and some vegetables. I cooked it in the microwave for 2 minutes. Then I decided to cook it for 3 to 5 minutes on stovetop on medium after spraying the pan with olive oil. It smelled really good like garlic. It tasted really good, too, but not too spicy. I put leftover meat from lunch with it. It was one portion of rice, but I only ate half. Next time, I will cook it with egg rolls or pot stickers also available in freezer section to make the meal bigger.

This is a comfort food as the days get cooler. I dress it up quickly by adding half a bag of Great Value frozen broccoli florets ($0.58) and half a can of Great Value chicken breast ($0.62). I pop it in the microwave, and in a few minutes I have a balanced, good-tasting meal for less than $2.50. How can you beat that these days????

( C) This frozen fried rice meal is an average dish in my opinion. It's nothing outstanding about it that makes it a definite “go to” meal when needed fast. Preparation is easy and coincides with the instructions on the package. Very easy to throw in microwave and have fried rice in 5-6 minutes. The texture of the rice is basic fried rice texture. It's not hard and grainy nor is it soft or mushy. It tastes like a cheap Asian fried rice but you can add your own touch to it to improve the taste and portion. I recommend it if you are really in a crunch for time and want fried rice on a tight budget. One thing that does stand out to me is that it is a little salty. It's fair quality and definitely a good value for the money.

My rating of 3 is based on the fact of the product is NEVER IN STOCK ANYMORE…My husband and I can't be the only 2 people in New Roads who like the microwave meal?!? Because if that was the case they'd definitely be in STOCK based on the fact that each month we do our monthly food shopping reorder online and we were ordering 4-8 at a time! It's been over 6 months since I have been able to get them. I'm not very satisfied customer currently

I purchased this item, along with another brand to take work for lunch. Following the instructions on the box, this item did not turn out correctly. I don't know if it's the amount of time it says to cook it, or the microwave at work, but it tasted like under cooked rice. I tried adding it to the microwave and cooking it a little longer but it still did not taste good. I'm sorry Michelina, I would not recommend this product. I do have another item from them as well, and I'm hoping it doesn't have the same results. Please do not let my experience discourage you, as you may have a different experience.
