To save on cost, rather than buying the frozen prepared bag meals, I buy these and add chicken to the top. I throw some chicken in the air fryer, nuke this in the microwave, add some parmesan cheese, and it's the perfect meal for one or a family. The taste is great, the sauce is creamy, and I don't need to add anything to "doctor it up."
These little sides for just over a dollar are delicious; my fave is the fettuccine to which I can add some chopped chicken or sautéed shrimp for a yummy dinner. I also like to slightly cool and then add the fried rice side right into a salad with some diced chicken for a hearty dinner.
Very pleasantly surprised by how good this 'dish' is. I wanted some 'small' items in the freezer for quick snacks and thought I would try these. I'm glad I did. This dish is great on it's own, very creamy and tasty, but I added some chopped up salami (or pepperoni), a little bit of Pepper Jack Cheese to add a little more spice, and ended up with a great little meal. Highly recommend .. and maybe try some additions of your own!
I really like this frozen dinner. It is on the less expensive side, but it tastes better than a lot of the other pricer brands. Only thing is there is not a lot of it in the little box. I am not a big eater so it's fine for me. But if you have a bigger appetite, you may want to heat up three of these, which still wouldn't break the bank. Very yummy!
Michelina's simple entrees deliver flavor at a fair price. Their pasta alfredo used to be a little sparse on the sauce, but this new heartier entree has more fettuccine and loads more thick, rich sauce. I will always keep a couple of these in the freezer.
I used to eat these ten plus years ago but I don't remember them stinking this bad while cooking in the microwave. The taste is still the same as I remember but when I opened the microwave it about knocked me down with the smell. My husband even asked why our house stunk so bad.
I'm not sure if they've changed the recipe or what. I used to eat these all the time in my 20s when I lived alone. Now I got them for my kids to have and my son heated one up and ate a few bites and threw the rest away because it was making him sick feeling. The smell was disgusting!! It smelled rotten. I'm not sure if they left them out and they thawed and went bad or what. Either there's a recipe change and something's been added that smells and tastes rotten/sour or the 5 I bought were all left to sour before freezing again. But based on other reviews I've seen, I'm not the only one who's experienced this.
There was a lot of water in the box. A lot of noodles and not much else. What little sauce there was tasted nothing like Alfredo. I in order to eat it, I had to drain the water off and add butter, garlic and Parmesan cheese. By the time you do all that, you could make your own. It was cheap, and I suppose I could do the same thing again in a pinch.
What happened to my Favorite Michelina Frozen Dinner???? It is now filled with too much watery sauce and tastes like mushy noodles. OMG this was a product I have eaten for years and LOVED. It was always a Close Second to Homemade Fettucine Alfredo. Why do Manufacturers do this???? VERY Disappointing and will not be reordering again.
This brand is the least expensive in frozen meals but it's not worth any price if you can't eat it. The sauce is overly thick and garlicy and the ones with chicken have just a few small chicken cubes that have a weird chemical taste. The container is some kind of cardboard with a lid that does not remove easily or completely. Absolutely will not ever buy again.
