TO STICK OR NOT TO STICK...YOUR FINGERS?
I LOVE THESE BECAUSE IT DOESN'T HURT ME LIKE THE OTHERS I HAVE USED. HAVING TO TEST 2 OR 3 TIMES A DAY IT CAN START TO DAMAGE YOUR FINGERS. I PERSONALLY WILL BUY NO OTHER. I HOPE WALMART WILL KEEP THE PRICE ON THESE AS THEY ARE. THEY'RE SO NECESSARY FOR LIFE. THOSE SUFFERING FROM DIABETES KNOW WHAT I MEAN.

Slightly different plastic mold shape.
The new mold shape is slightly less stable in the lancet device and the piece that twists off is a bit harder to stab reliably to protect the sharp point before disposal. I'm sure the new shape shaves a milligram or so off of each lancet. Millions of milligrams saved eventually adds up to real cost savings over billions of lancets. I just find the fit into the lancet device to be slightly less secure where the stiffiners for the shaft are thinned out. Changes to the removable portion probably save more plastic and don't really affect the primary purpose of the lancets. There seems to be a significant reduction in the amount of packaging material saved by the smaller box shape, a significant improvement in a package that I don't believe has changed in the past few decades.

Painless sticks
These finger stickers are amazing. They are so sharp, that it doesn't hurt at all even on fingers that get abused during the course of a week. Glad I found out about these. No others for me.

These are for use with the Contour Next monitor. Contour is the best value priced testing system. They are packaged well.
