Microplane Premium Classic Zester Grater - Red

The Micrplane Premium is the only plane grater I use at work and home (bought 4 of them, 3 for work 1 for me) My first one held up to 2 full years of intense use(nutmeg, hard cheeses, zesting in an active fine dining restaurant) and it was the small barkeep style. These are the perfect size, grating sharpness, and durable!

America's Test Kitchen is correct in rating this zester tops. It's the first of many zesters I've owned that actually works perfectly. I plan to buy another.

It's easy to use (no more cut fingers); it grated the zest from lemons and limes perfectly: it was a breeze getting the zest from both sides of the grater. I love it!

There is nothing to dislike. It is an indispensable tool and its lightweight was really a surprising feature.

Works great

Not very sharp. the unit itself is super light, so you cant put too much pressure on it. or it will bend. fibrous items like ginger gets stuck very easily and slides off, so it does not shred very well. it does ok with citrus zest. will try with aged cheese next. overall disappointed with the product.
