The original is the best!
Affordable headset that do what they are intended for. My grandsons love them .
Bought this for my boyfriend for his birthday and it is exactly what he wanted and works great
just what son wanted to replace older 1 and best price we could find
The short of it is, this official Microsoft single ear (mono) chat headset is probably the best one I've used for Xbox (from Xbox One through the Series X/S). The sound quality is clear and my friends usually hear me clearly without any issues. It has very convenient volume and mute buttons within thumb's reach, and is lightweight and comfortable enough for prolonged use. It's also the only one I've used that allows concurrent full use of a Dolby Atmos home theater (more on that below). The downside is this is probably my second or 3rd one since Xbox One and I take exceptional care of my things. It's just too delicate. The wire is SO thin you always feel like you're about to break it, especially every time you remove the connector from the controller (which is also a design flaw, as there is no real easy way to do so). Now to elaborate, there aren't a lot of decent single ear chat headset options for Xbox, and even fewer if your setup is anything like mine, where you want to hear your surround sound speakers with Dolby Atmos and still have a chat headset that doesn't prevent that. Specifically, most stereo headsets, as far as I've tried, immediately disable Dolby Atmos output to your AV receiver as soon as you plug your headset into your controller, but instead maintain multi channel surround output without Atmos. It's a weak point in the Xbox sound setup, but one that's defeatable using this exact headset. Without going into excess detail as to why that limitation exists, you only need to know it does. If you use a more expensive Dolby Atmos capable stereo headset with chat, the Xbox can output the correct Atmos audio through those headphones. But again, that's only good if you don't want to hear your games via your surround sound speaker setup, or for example want to play late at night without disturbing your family. But for bachelors like me who live in a house and want full Dolby Atmos blasting through speakers at any time while gaming and chatting, this is pretty much the only game in town.
Good price and worked fine. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
So far so good, it's made a little cheap and I guess that's what I was expecting because I only play with my cousins but it gets the job done. I am just hoping it doesn't break in like 2 months of using it. I try to keep it out of harms way lol
[Employee of walmartcanada] I bought this over a year ago and then a couple of months the wire busted. Now every single time I go to use it I have to bend the wire and put a bobby pin on it to make my mic work. By the way, it takes at least half an hour to make it work!!! I would just go and buy an expensive one that will last you longer
it did not even work the day i got it
volume poor
