Microsoft Xbox One Stereo Headset Adapter

When the Xbox one came out it rendered my turtle beach x 12 headphones useless, that is until this adapter came out. I was concerned when I finally got the adapter home that it would not be compatible. The connecting wire plug was 2.5 mm and the adapter socket was 3.5 mm but the adapter came with a 3 inch converter with a 2.5 mm female socket and a 3.5 mm plug so it made the connection possible. You find the wire under the plastic molding that holds the adapter. This adapter also comes with a small USB cable to upgrade your Xbox one controller. After all was said and done, the headset works perfectly. I am very happy with the purchase and price. Be aware that because of demand, this items price has been doubled at other sites. Walmart kept it at the original price.

I purchased this adapter so that I could use it to listen to my movies and games without the need of having the TV volume on (living in an apartment building, loud anything becomes a problem).The fact that I can use my Cell phone headphones as a headset and headphone is just an added bonus. It blew me away when I realized that it sounds even better than my TV. It also allows me to use my Turtle Beach Headset, which I purchased for my Xbox 360. Perfect sound quality on both ends of the microphone. I feel it should have shipped with the Xbox One or even been built into the controller. For $25 you cant beat the quality. Finding these for less than $60 online is impossible. I was lucky enough to find one at a Walmart 40 minutes from my home.

But this from Walmart unless you want to pay triple!!! If you order online and do ship to store it will arrive fast! It told me 7-10 business days and it only took 2 days! Ok now the review: If you have a nice, expensive headset like myself you'll notice the new Xbox one does not support it 100%. You could still plug your headset into a USB port and hear the game but not chat with the players. Well Microsoft has a solution with the headset adapter. It works great and has an additional adapter just in case your headset jack is smaller than the existing port like my turtle beach headset is. The only downside to this is that a keypad most likely will never fit with this shoul they come out with one.

You've got to have this if you want to chat on xbox one with an outdated headset for 360! Well worth every penny spent. Would recommend to anyone wanting to be able to chat with friends on xbox one!

I bought it for my brothers xbox one it works perfect and turtle beach headsets as I am aware of should work with this.

Finally get to use my turtle beaches with my Xbox one. Volume and mute buttons are right on the adapter itself.

I was so excited when this was announced. I could not wait to use my new 2014 BEATS by Dr. Dre Studio 2 Wireless Headset with this and I love using them with my XBOX ONE. Next they need a Qwerty keyboard attachment with built in Bluetooth for the headset. But this is a must have for XBOX ONE owners.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Chat/Game balance buttons were broke on mine. If you turn volume up with chat button or game button it turns up both game and chat volume. I can't return it either for some reason?? I didn't check the no returns box to save money. This was my first electronics buy from jet.com
