I wanted a nice set to take to the beach on our trip to Mexico! My last set lasted 40 years and was held together with rubber bands - it was about time to get a new one. It was more than I spent 40 years ago (grin) but I believe that it will last for 40 years - I will have to will it to my grandchildren!

I recently had purchased a different backgammon set from another manufacturer and was very disappointed. This board is well made. It was a gift for my daughter and she really liked it.

Very good quality. Nice tactile experience to play with this set. The pieces feel substantial, and the board surface is quiet to roll dice on.

Board decent - visible staple holes where rails are stapled together... Checkers - fair - smaller and lighter than I'd like Dice - fair Doubling cube - poor - small and insubstantial To their credit, the dimensions of the dice and checkers are listed, but I didn't pay much attention to those specifics.
