MIDEA 12,000 BTU SmartCool Window Air Conditioner with WiFi and Voice Control

Bought this unit to replace my older 6000 BTU window unit and I haven't regretted the decision one bit. Straight out of the box this thing cooled my whole place (about 1500 sq ft) down by 2 degrees within the first 5 to 6 minutes. On those 90+ degree days this thing blows ridiculously COLD air. My recliner sits near it in my living room and I ended up throwing a sheet over me while watching TV onna blazing hot and humid day. Others have complained that it's loud and yes, it can be... IF you have it cranked up. Otherwise leave the fan in auto mode, or drop the unit into ECO mode and it will run quiet enough I could still hear my TV clearly. Expecting a 12k BTU AC unit to run super silent is foolish to begin with. It has a really powerful fan motor in it and it works great. At first I was hesitant to use the WiFi control feature, but after setting it up and using it a while I really like it. It's nice to be able to turn it on or off and set it the way I like so it's already cooling my place down when I get home from a long road trip.

The Media 12,000 BTU A/C unit is now a Window Queen in our master bedroom which is a large converted over sized 2 car garage. This little unit is a work horse and does the job nicely. While not the quietest of units, it is not loud enough to be a bother while sleeping at night. At it's price range, this unit will be hard to beat. I would recommend to friends and family.

This 12,000-btu air conditioner seems to be a very good buy and so far has worked more than acceptably for it size and cost. Purchased during the summer heat of 2023 during an outage of a larger HVAC system, the unit was installed in a Window to primarily cool a computer office (multiple large computers) and a bedroom. It did that well and the remote was handy and the features provided all the options we needed. Never bought the brand before, but so far seems to be a solid unit. For the price it is a good deal and offers AC, remote control, control by phone and voice control by Alexa and others (I didn't install that option). Good purchase!

Chicago summer heat is no joke especially when you live on the 3rd floor! It was easy to install and had no issues connecting online with the app and with Alexa. Love that I can control the AC when I'm not home! My apartment can get really hot even when it's cool outside, so I like the automatic feature to keep it at a steady 75-78 degrees when I'm not home. Of course I do set it at 70 when I'm getting home so I can step in a cool home! I don't have to worry about my pup when she's at home thanks to this.

This unit works great. The vents are divided so that you can choose 2 directions of cooling. Very easy set up. WI-FI works great. After reading about it I thought it would be loud, but it actually does NOT draw attention to itself. Cycles on and off very well. The price $329 from Sam’s club was fantastic. The 3rd party reviews were exceptional because it’s not a known brand name, highly recommended it.

We replaced our 10,000 BTU AC for the Midea 12,000 BTU due to the time needed before the room would cool.. The Midea has definately made a HUGE difference!! It cools super quick, love the features, and of course the remote control feature and the wifi!!! Will highly recommend it.

This A/C unit is a life saver!!! Instantly cools down my apartment even set at 65°. Its very quiet and cools my open livingroom, dinning room and kitchen down plus my bed rooms that are off to the side! I was hesitant because i never used this brand before but if your concerning it, i promise you will not regret this purchase. I picked up in store with no hassle putting in.

We use this in the kitchen of our ice cream parlor located In Hawai’i. Needless to say, it gets excruciatingly hot because we make all our own syrups for shave ice, hot fudge sauce, caramel sauce, brownies, etc. This air conditioner cools the kitchen down far better than I expected. I would highly recommend this unit

Overall this is a great air conditioner. I only gave it 4-stars because of the difficulty using the tactile switches on the front of the unit. That said, the remote does everything and I can live with remote control only. Cools nicely. No big surge in noise when it ‘kicks in’ like some AC units. Great price for the size and features.

The wifi remote control works perfectly. Easy install and setup. However, not as powerful as expected, very limited directional vents --it really only blows straight forward regardless of the vent direction, maybe poor design. After 4 weeks, the unit seems to be malfunctioning. It stops running. The unit appears to be on, but it doesn't run, just stops. I have to shut it off then turn it on again, it's as if it goes to sleep and has to be wakened up. My office is 350 sf, this unit is not adequate.
